Double Stuf Oreo Peanut Butter Creme

Peanut Butter Creme Double Stuf Oreo

When I was little, I used to think the Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney song Ebony and Ivory was about Oreo cookies. I would sing the chorus of the song over and over as I separated the white creme from the chocolate cookies and placed them in separate piles.

Of course, when I got older, I learned the song was about comparing people of different ethnicities to the keys on a piano.

Although, now that I think about it, the song might have also been a plea by the two singers to stop Michael Jackson from getting any whiter. Of course, we all know how that ended and we all probably wish someone would write a song to stop Jacko from molesting children.

Over the years, Oreo cookies have had different variations, like Double Stuf Oreos, with a double portion of filling and half the F’s; Uh-Oh! Oreos, with vanilla flavored cookies and chocolate creme; and One Bad Mutha Oreos, with chocolate cookies, chocolate creme, and dipped in chocolate.

Recently, Impulsive Buy reader, Janet, let me know about the new Double Stuf Oreo Peanut Butter Creme cookies, which have chocolate cookies and peanut butter creme.

Now I’m an Oreo purist, so I really love regular Oreos and that’s all I usually eat. However, just like ethnic restaurants and sexual positions, I felt trying something different wouldn’t hurt, unless it’s either live snake cuisine or the Standing Oral Yin Yang position.

The thing about Oreos is that there are several ways of eating them. You can eat them whole. You can dip them in ice cold milk. You can take two cookies, twist off the top of one of them, eat the top, and then combine the rest to form a Big Mac Oreo.

Or you can twist off the top of one of the cookies, lick up all the filling, go find Sally Struthers, get her attention, then throw away both sides of the cookie in front of her, and wait to see if she mentions something about children starving in Africa.

I put the Double Stuf Oreo Peanut Butter Creme through the same routine I would with regular Oreos. However, despite all the dunking, biting, twisting, and licking, it just wasn’t the same.

Now don’t get me wrong, they were pretty good, but much like Britney and Kevin’s marriage, the peanut butter creme seems to be the dominant taste and the chocolate cookies seem like they’re there just going along for the ride and spending the whole day watching television.

However, if Nutter Butter cookies makes your nipples hard, you would probably like these because the peanut butter creme tasted very similar.

Item: Double Stuf Oreo Peanut Butter Creme
Purchase Price: $3.00 (on sale)

Pros: Very good. Peanut butter creme reminds me of Nutter Butter cookies. No trans fat.

  1. I am wary of such products as it looks like they are mixing peanut butter with Crisco.

  2. Oreos in general get me arroused. I’l tell you right now I’m suffering from painful nipple erections just gazing at those cookies =\

  3. catmz – Mmm…Crisco. Mmm…Hardened arteries.

Ken – Painful nipple erections? I think you need to get those checked. 😉

Ayesha97 – Peanut butter = not good for licking off a body. Peanut butter + creme = still not good for licking off a body.

  4. ” but much like Britney and Kevin’s marriage, the peanut butter creme seems to be the dominant taste” That’s too funny. I personally like to eat my oreo by taking it apart and eating the plain side first.

  5. Great Sally reference I was tempted to send the cookie part of my Oreo’s to her so she can feed them to the African children. Then two thoughts occurred 1. I eat them (never tried the Mac oreo) 2. The cow would eat them herself.

  6. I was disappointed there was no Wikipedia link to the Standing Oral Yin Yang position. Cookies sound tasty, if unhealthy. Maybe they’d be a tasty food to eat while recovering from a Yin Yang session.

  7. I think it’s adorable that you used to sing “Ebony and Ivory” while eating Oreos. That gets my nipples hard more than the idea of peanut butter – and I LOVE peanut butter 🙂 Though when you think about it, singing a song about racial harmony while viciously crunching through both the vanilla and chocolate opens up a whole new issue of genocidal metaphor.

  8. I love Oreos. These look absolutely fantastic. Regarding the comment about mixing crisco and peanut butter – at least these are mixed with peanut butter. The original oreos are just the straight crisco. Gotta love ’em.

Yup, I’m on vacation (as I noted on my blog), and I’m still reading and commenting here. I should go sleep or something.

  9. Joke o’ the Day

Q: What’s the difference between a Double Stuf Oreo Peanut Butter Creme cookie and Michael Jackson?

A: One is a delicious dessert, the other is a child molester.

    Heh.

  10. Wait, what? You do not revere the Uh-Oh! or Golden Oreo? I fear our romance is doomed, Marvo.

Unless… we get a bag of regular Oreos for you and a bag of the Golden ones for me. That could work….

  11. Wow, so they skipped regular peanut butter Oreos, and went straight for double stuffed?

Oh, oh, oh! Make an Oreo Big Mac out of one peanut butter, and one regular double stuffed! My arteries cry out at the thought of it.

  12. Have you ever tried the Mint Oreo? They are wonderful. I am a fan of the normal Oreo cookie but when I tried these they are by far my favorite. You should try them some time if you see them in the store. If you like mint that is.!!

  13. I worship the white-fudge-covered oreo. When they come out a Christmastime (much like elves and reindeer), I trek to Sam’s Club and buy the “Club Pack”.

I’m not a big fan of peanut butter – I think that this much peanut buttery goodness could cause me to do crazy things. Much like the spork and Taco Bell thing…

Hrmm club pack – sounds like a remixed version of the cookies… I digress…

  14. Lucy – Sometimes I like to nibble the edges before popping the whole thing into my mouth.

Kent – If 25 cents a day can feed an African village for a month, Oreo cookies must be able to feed them for a few days.

Chuck – Ice packs are needed to recover from a Standing Yin Yang.

Pel – But in our mouths the white creme and chocolate cookie combine, bringing harmony.

Bottom Feeder – That’s okay, I’ve been on vacation for over a year and I still read and comment here.

Jessica – A: One has more color than the other.

  15. Damon – Thanks. Although, they’re not as scary One Bad Mutha Oreos, because those can kick my ass.

Mir – Yes, in any relationship, it’s important to compromise.

wired – Oh, oh, oh! Even better, grab all the Oreo variations, stack them on top of each other, and scarf it down. Hmm…What’s up with me and combining foods?

Becky – I think I will try them, but if you’re wrong, I expect you to refund my money. 😉

Moosigal – You worship the white-fudge covered Oreo? What about the regular-fudge covered Oreo? Are you being a fudge-ist?

nat – Must. Tempt. Nat. With. Chocolate and peanut butter. Goodness. Yum. Mmm.

alex – I am intrigued by these Mint Oreos. I must find them.

  16. ahhhh, chocolate and pb is my FAVORITE!

well, that and chocolate covered pretzels. 🙂 YUM

I’m a total Double Stuf Oreo addict though. I don’t know if I could be a traitor and do the switcharoo.

  17. I realize it’s blasphemous, but I fucking love the Uh-Ohs. I’ve always just rather tolerated the chocolate cookie to get the filling, but, with the Uh-Ohs, I actually LIKE the cookie. (If I must have the chocolate cookie, though: yeah, the mint ones rule. Doublestuff Mint ones would be heaven. Ya hear me, Nabisco?)

  18. Went to Safeway with the wife. She wanted Oreos because she’s “hormonal.” We get a pack of the regular, non double stuffed variety. The cashier announces that they are buy one get one free. I was going to look for S’mores Oreos (because they have them in the Safeway generic style called “Tuxedos”) but they didn’t have them. I settled for the PB kind.

Afterall of that, I haven’t eaten them yet. I’ll probably break in to them tomorrow. They look good though.

  19. Mint Oreos are awesome. Just keep out of your mind that the mintyness is made from liquified leprehauns and you’ll be fine.

And speaking of creamy filled goodness. Mother’s brand makes one called Blasters; think Oreos with pop-rocks. It’s freaky-deaky cool.

  20. Yes I also must confess that the mint oreos are awesome you can also get them half and half creme mint/chocolate. A tip on the fudge covered Oreos try them frozen they rock.

  21. peanut butter-AWESOME! Oreos – AWESOME!! These would be great in an oreo shake!!! I hadn’t even seen these yet….probably better for the scale. oh well, they say fat people are happier….

  22. If you don’t like them I will refund your money. If you want I can just send them to you if that would make you feel better!!

  23. Marvo – yes. I’m obviously a white fudgepremicist. I am building a compound complete with a grassy berm type thing.

    white fudgepremicist sounds *really* bad.

  24. Webmiztris – Do it! I wouldn’t tattle on you.

Eliza – I’m not a big fan of Uh-Ohs, especially when it comes before the words, “I’m pregnant.” 😉

hismikeness – S’mores Oreos? Mmm…Must go to Safeway. Mmm…Buy one get one free.

gko – Don’t you know leprechauns aren’t real. Santa made me say that.

Kent – I’ve learned that a lot of cookies seem to taste better when frozen, especially during these summer months.

BooBoo – Peanut butter oreo shake…I expect Jack in the Box will be creating that someday.

Becky – Nah, that’s okay. I hear Safeway has a buy one get one free sale on Oreos.

    Moosigal – That’s okay, I’m a dark chocolatepremicist.

  25. You forgot the other variation, you take the two creme sides, stick them on your nipples and have someone eat them off of you…in your case, Britney maybe? In my case…well…

Well, I think of all people…YOU know what makes my nipples hard! =)

  26. dumas – Thanks for the compliment.

    the other ‘M’ – Britney? NO! Racheal Ray…Yes. Winona Ryder…Yes. Bee Arthur…No.

  27. The thing about the Peanut Butter jobbies that I’ve noticed is that:

    A) They’re prone to falling apart. The cookies don’t stick to the filling as well as perhaps they ought to, and

    B) In the two packages that I’ve gone through (purchased a couple of weeks apart), there appear to be a lot of “defectives”–you know, with the design side of the cookie turned around so that it’s facing the filling.

So these things may have to go back to the R&D department to get past the malfunctions. The cookies themselves aren’t bad.

Final Note: Oreos and Nutter Butters are both Nabisco cookies, so it’s probably the same stuff in the middle of each.

  28. Claude – Hmm…I haven’t had any of the problems you had and I live in a humid environment.

  29. Well but one get one free is the best way to go!!! Good luck. Let me know how it goes!!

  30. these sound very yummy. I hope I never see them. I will be forced to eat them all and become the world’s fattest birdwoman.

    (*)>

  31. I’d give the mint oreos a try. Exactly like the PB ones, only.. you know, they have mint. They’re quite yummy and taste a lot like thin mints.

  32. Becky – Unfortunately, none of the Safeways I went to had those mint Oreos. However, they did have the mint and creme ones, but I just want the plain mint.

birdwoman – Although, if you were the world’s fattest birdwoman, you could sit on a whole bunch of eggs until they hatch.

    Jobetta – Mmm…Thin Mints.

  33. I was going to say that maybe the trick is MORE humidity, but this is Baltimore. The air is pretty swampy on a daily basis.

And that doesn’t explain the inside-out cookie business.

I think you folks have convinced me to try the mint cookies.

  34. Where are those Peanut Butter Oreos I have been to Safeway and Albertsons and no where to be found. I want to try them. I have tryed to doulble stuff Kebler ones those are good. but just want to try to oreos. waaaaaaaahhhhhh

  35. Claude – Everyone has convinced me to try the mint Oreos. If only I could find them.

lulu – Patience is a virtue.
