I tried one of theses today and was disappointed. Waaaaay too salty and too sweet at the same time… I didn’t think this was possible until I tasted this sandwich. I was also expecting the waffles to have a bit of a crisp, but they were soggy. Would not recommend.

I’ve never been able to compare the taste of American cheese to anything other than American cheese. It’s some sort of reflexive conundrum, I think. I still think I’d prefer a two-slice American cheese grilled cheese on Wonderbread over say.. a fromage blanc grilled cheese on sliced brioche with caramelized pears and a drizzle of raw honey.

Both are delicious, the latter probably more delicious, but I can’t trust a person who doesn’t love a good Wonderbread American cheese grilled sandwich.

I am eating one right now. No sweetness in the waffle like at McDonalds, and it is terribly dry. And of course, barely any bacon.

Marvo, since McDonald’s already has a very similar product, that Dunkin Donuts sandwich looks kind of unimpressive.
