I really like their regular Sirloin Burger. They taste great and are very filing and satisfying. The price used to be $3.99, but now it’s $4.19 or $4.29. It still may be a better deal than the Minis.

I was in San Diego and saw all the Jack’s (with new logos and everything) were promoting Chicken Ranch Minis.

These mini burgers strike me as suspicious when the economy is bad. Do they have less meat than a regular sized burger at the same price? Is the serving size smaller, although you perceive that you are getting 3, yes 3 burgers? Needless to say, I am going to enjoy my full size burgers before I would try one, err, 3 of these.

Unless you count the supermarket, there are no White Castle or Krystal sliders anywhere near the PacNW. I imagine some people will see the current mini offerings as a substitute for what they cannot have. I am wondering when McDonald’s will announce their version.

I have to say Krystal is not a part of the mini burger craze. They have been around just as long as White Castle, and IMO they are 10 times better than White Castle. The others don’t even compare to Krystal or White Castle, they are just mini burgers, the don’t cook them any differently or anything, just smaller and a silly name. It’s just an excuse to trick people into thinking they are getting a deal and in the future they will raise the price on them just like everything else.

I also hope this whole faux slider thing disappears soon, but these are actually pretty decent. I’m not a fan of Jack’s burgers, but these are really not that bad. I’ve had them twice and once, though, they just threw on some raw onions instead of grilling them. I almost preferred that. I think I’ll ask for it if I ever order them again.

I kinda have to agree with my broski above at the five spot. I mean we all know that this has been done before…to death, I would say that it lacks discipline, and that would be bad enough but what gets me is the lack of originality, I mean, how about a tray of lil burgers that all have different toppings are or made of different meats… is that asking too much?

I kinda have to agree that this slider trade war has sort of jumped the shark, I mean if you’re eating the same amount of calories, you may as well just get one regular to irresponsible burger/burgers (as the case may be) however, if this is necessary (and I don’t think it is) we either need to go ahead and declare that white castle and krystal are the slider champions or we need to have some sort of mini-burger battle royale to determine who holds say over the minature gut bombs….. just a thought.

I saw these for sale at JITB. The guy ahead of me ordered them but I didn’t see what they looked like. I might like them with mustard instead of ketchup.
