I had ginger ice cream in Chinatown once; it was pretty tasty. I wonder if this is anything like that…? If it weren’t nearly $5, I’d buy some and try it. >>

@Chuck: When I get pregnant, I shall find out if it helps, but I'm predicting that it would make my baby fat. @Heidi: The only unusual flavors are passion fruit and brown sugar, which really aren't too unusual. @fightin' mad mary: You're totally right about the two ounces. I corrected it above. @Tracy: Ginger cake and ginger ice cream? I wouldn't know where to get ginger cake and I definitely don't know how to bake a ginger cake. So I can try it out. @angry bob: Dammit! You're going to make me look shit up on Wikipedia to understand your comment. @Heidi: I would try it but I stay away from beverages with the word ale in them. I prefer drinks with the word ade in them, like Gatorade. @edman0037: Occasionally, but keep it on the DL. @norby: I tried the brown sugar one as well and I thought it was a little too sweet for my tastes. @Woodenhand: No, I think Five Ginger does help with hit points. @Neil the hammer: When Five Sherbet comes out, I'll review that, you'll be happy and leave a comment that end with the words, "THAT IS ALL."

Hmmmm This sounds like it could be intersting and generally anything you reveiw that is at least a 7 is worth a try… I kinda like the catchy name… “Five Ginger” Ice cream… sounds kinda like the ice cream that one should eat before attempting to infiltrate a mystical temple filled with chainsaw wielding dread ninjas….. Whew, I’m sorry marvo, I think I just went off the deep end!

There’s a brown sugar flavor as well.

I’ve tried the coffee. I can’t say it tasted any better or worse than any other coffee ice cream, although it’s more apparent now that other brands are probably using a lot of syrup flavoring in their ice cream.

I’m seriously considering trying the brown sugar because it seems like it should either be really, really good or just too sweet.

Ginger Baker went pretty well with Cream, but he wasn’t bad with the Gurvitz brothers either and they never looked much like dessert material.

My first thought is that it doesn’t seem like it would be good on its own but might be delicious with cake and ice cream.

Heidi gave me the idea that it might make a nice float with ginger ale.

Just an FYI Haagen-Dazs has removed two ounces of product from it’s packaging.

1 US pint = 16 US fluid ounces

so sneaky!! so deceptive!! Shame on you Haagen-Dazs.

I don’t like ginger either, though I don’t really mind Ginger Ale (it really doesn’t taste all that ginger-y to me)… Maybe I will try this icecream too. Do they have more odd flavors in this 5-ingredient line?

Sounds somewhat interesting, although I’d probably have gone with coffee. Ginger is supposed to be good for nausea so pregnant women might be fond of this one.
