Once when I was 18 I was hammered at a party and a couple friends said they were going to Panda Express because it was open until midnight. So I gave them some money and asked for orange chicken. I was so looking forward to that. Eventually they returned, reported that Panda Express was closed and they had gone to Denny’s, and handed me an order of dried-out buffalo wings that they thought were an acceptable substitution. I was crushed.
