If you thought combining ice cream and cake into an ice cream cake was awesome, the new Cold Stone Creamery Jell-O Pudding Ice Cream is going to blow your mind, and I’m not talking a brain freeze kind of blow your mind. They’ve taken two Jell-O (or Jello if you’re lazy, and I am) pudding flavors, chocolate and butterscotch, and merged them with their ice cream to create a pudding/ice cream hybrid, a minotaur-ish dessert, if you will.

According to the Cold Stone website, the pudding ice cream, “…combines the smoothness and creaminess of the Cold Stone Creamery ice cream you love, with the thick and velvety texture of Jello pudding.” Also, the pudding ice cream doesn’t melt like regular ice cream, instead as it gets warmer, it turns into regular pudding.

The Jello Pudding Ice Cream will only be around until July 28 and available in two creations, Chocolate-y Goodness and Butterscotch Velvet. The prices for the pudding ice cream range from $2.49 to $3.49, excluding add-ins.

That sounds amazing. Too bad it’s probably got more fat grams and calories than a tub of chicken wings.

    Love, Gimmeyummy

  2. grinder says:

Minotaurs are pretty awesome, combining the best of man and beast. But creating an ice cream that doesn’t melt… That’s pushing things a bit too far.

  3. Bear Silber says:

….not impressed….I think they can do better. How about donuts and ice cream…or deep fried Snickers/Twinkies and ice cream….come on guys honestly

This sounds good but, I think I will continue to reserve my calorie intake for beer, cake, and the occasional plate of nachos.

@bear I think you’re on to something with the donut ice cream

now I know there is a big difference between how advertised food and the actual product looks, but I’m really digging this idea, if this isn’t good eatin’ I don’t know what is.

Before reading the headline, I thought the photo was showcasing some meal involving beef on an ice cream cone. Seriously, that doesn’t look like chocolate ice cream, it looks like slices of well cooked london broil atop a cone.

  12. Devika says:

This is a godsend!! I love butterscotch ice cream, but I only get to have it when I visit family in India. I’m usually against Cold Stone’s outrageous prices, but I will make an exception for this!

  13. Brie says:

Oh, Marvo. It’s been a while, but I had to post on this. That looks positively orgasmic. I must have some, and right away.

  14. Ryan says:

I like pudding…I like Ice Cream…yet I fear Pudding Ice Cream. For some reason this reminds me of Gak…anyone remember Gak?

  15. Sarah says:

I work at a Cold Stone.. prices vary from store to store. Also, some will have the two optional flavors as well, Banana pudding and Vanilla pudding.

  16. Erin says:

YUM! Pudding and ice cream. I can’t wait to try it out. Those are two of my fave desserts.

  17. whitney d says:

I’ve had this before. It tastes like they put chocolate in the sweet cream ice cream. still good nonetheless

  18. Karyn says:

I had the Banana Pudding version of this the other day and it was delightful!!! It was very thick and I added crumbled graham crackers to it to make it taste like banana cream pie. I hope they continue this line.
