Marvo – That Oreo Granola bar did have oreo pieces in it; in fact, it was Oreo colored. It probably wasn’t a very healthy granola bar, now that I think about it.

@Orchid64: When I finished writing this review, I thought about using the teabagging line to start, since it's always good to start with your best line, but I was too lazy to cut and paste. @Brian: I will say the Oreo one is better, but not by much. @Shauna: I tried that with potato chips. All I got was hypertension and an even greater addiction to potato chips. @Wrong Ron: Meh.

I LOVE oreos. I love them so much I can polish off a WHOLE SLEEVE while I am walking to the living room so I’ll have to get up & grab some more. When I was in uni I had the idea that maybe if I ate ONLY OREOS ALL DAY LONG I would get sick of them and I would be able to exhibit some self control.

I’m not sure how many days went by before I gave and embraced that fact that oreos must just be one of the food groups for me.

I WILL NOT be trying this lame product. Thanks for the warning :)

I ate one of the Nutter Butter bars and through the rest away. I thought they had a weird fake cinnamon taste, and you’re right, no Nutter Butter or even peanut taste at all. I have a box of the Oreo bars still sitting in the cupboard. Not sure I’ll even try them after your review.

I was reading this in my RSS feeds and thought this was a “food in real life” post. I started reading at 7:45 and was super groggy. I kept thinking, “why have they suddenly begun to ape the Impulsive Buy’s style”? Then I was wondering why their were no comparison pictures. Finally, when I reached the ratings, I realized it was you. You’d think all the talk of nipples, teabagging, etc. would have given it away earlier. ;-)

@Chuck: Were there actual Oreo cookie bits in it? This product would've tasted decent if there were Oreo cookie bits in it, but of course it would've been even smaller so that it could stay under 100 calories. @amanda: I think I could fit an entire bar in my mouth…I'm not going to try for fear of choking. @serial eater: Perhaps. Sometimes I go through these phases when I use sexual references in each review. These phases come and go, but they're usually influenced by what I just watched or read or heard. I've been watching a lot of Jackass recently. @Review Spew: I didn't have a bag of marbles, so the Nutter Butter had to suffice. @Lex; I like the parmesan pretzel from Pretzelmaker. But i would not dip it in chocolate. I would dip it in parmesan. @Ms. Spanks: I've got the perfect way to show tough love. Feed them these bars.

I’m afraid it’s time for the painful truth… no matter what the intentions are… no matter what the brand is… Low cal or “100 calorie” type snacks can never taste as good as the orig versions. Don’t get me wrong, some can make passable versions but still never as good. I’ve used some of these products before as a girl has to watch her figure, but still… I’m sorry nabisco, but somtimes you just need a little tough love.

I usually don’t mind these low call snacks but their salt levels are so high. :p
I do buy the chocolate dipped mini pretzles, very yummy.

I only had the Nutter Butter one before and I agree it was disappointing. I also remembering being very disappointed about the size of the bars. I hate when I am being mislead to believe that the bar was wayyyyyy bigger!!

Sounds like they are trying to ride on the street cred of familiar cookies to sell more of their crappy “healthy” snacks. It’s too bad they don’t taste more like the originals; I remember an Oreo granola bar from the 90′s that was actually pretty good (they may still make it, I’m not sure.)
