The scary thing about that price is that it’s still cheaper than the cereal you buy in Japan.

Did you know that people were encouraged to eat cereal instead of animal products (eggs, bacon, ham, etc.) for breakfast because pious sorts thought that the early consumption of meat would “inflame” the senses? In your case, perhaps a little less inflammation would be a good idea. ;-)

@amanda: The only way you could get real satisfaction out of a box of Honey Bunches of Oats with Pecan Clusters is to buy a box significantly cheaper than what I paid and then brag about it, making me jealous. @Ken: Yup, $5. Sometimes shipping things by boat is really expensive. And sometimes shipping things by boat might end up with you losing stuff.

Good gravy. Over $5 for cereal? That’s not impulsive, that’s insanity!

When I get Honey Bunches of Oats I go for the original gold/yellow box (which has a great honey taste) and add the nuts on my own.

I always thought that honey bunches of oats all tasted the same anyway. Guess it will not disappoint.
