PRIZE DRAWING: Because Burger King Has A Lot of New Products

A few days ago we told you about the new products hitting the Burger King menu. For those of you who don’t remember or are too lazy to click the previous link, BK is rolling out new chicken strips, salads, snack wraps, smoothies, and frappes.

If you wanted to try all the new products, you’d have to spend a pretty penny. So The Impulsive Buy will be giving away a $25 Burger King gift card, which will allow one lucky reader to try all the new BK products for almost free. I said “almost free” because I think if someone bought one of every new BK product, it would over $25.

Now, the winner doesn’t have to buy the new products. They can use it to buy a herd of Whoppers or enough french fries to fill a bathtub. But if you win and buy enough french fries to fill a bathtub, you must take a photo and send it to us.

To enter The Impulsive Buy’s Burger King gift card drawing, leave a comment with THIS post. I don’t care what you say in your comment, but it would be great if you listed your top three favorite fast food places so that I can see how many of you included Burger King on your list.

Please don’t forget to fill out the email field because I’ll be emailing the winner for his or her mailing address. The Impulsive Buy will stop accepting entries on Saturday, March 31, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. Only one comment allowed per person, and it’s only open to U.S. residents who are at least 18 years old.

For those of you who have a Twitter account, you can get an additional entry by tweeting the following by Saturday, March 31, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time:

@theimpulsivebuy I miss stroking his beard, looking into his plastic eyes & resting my head on his fuzzy robe. I MISS THE KING @burgerking!

So just copy, paste, and tweet. Only one tweet per Twitter account.

Good luck!

Fine Print: Burger King is not affiliated with this prize drawing. The Impulsive Buy promises your email address will not be used to send you emails from Nigerian princesses. The Impulsive Buy also promises your mailing address will not be used to send you Macy’s coupons. Bribes will not be accepted. The Impulsive Buy will not be responsible for lost mail, damaged mail, or your Burger King not having the new products.

    1. I recently had the apple, cranberry with grilled chicken salad and it was really good, but why don’t they have a low fat dressing for it.

  1. 1. Mcdonalds, but only if it’s breakfast.. numbah 1 and COKE!
    2. In & OUT
    3. Don’t really have a 3rd.. but if I did it would be subway or quiznos.. maybe togos.

  2. Panera, Rallys, … hmmm… I really don’t know about #3. I just don’t do fast food much, a couple times a year maybe. I haven’t had BK in a long time. I’d like to try their ‘new’ burger varieties and ‘new’ fries, but have no motivation. A gift card would get our family in the door!

  3. I’m doing a top five. Because I’m cool like that.
    5. McDonalds
    4. Taco Bell
    3. Burger King (Though since they may have discontinued chicken fries, they may dip)
    2. Five Guys
    1. Sonic

  4. #1 Taco Bell
    #2 McDonald’s
don’t really have a number 3-I guess it would be Subway.

  5. 1. Whataburger! (there’s something so addicting about their ketchup)
    2. Five Guys (fast food… Isn’t it?)
    3. Burger King

  6. Can I fill my bathtub with soft serve instead? Oh and I’d say my top three are Wendys, Mcdonalds, and Burger King.

  7. When I was in high school the manager of the local BK told us not to come back because we were obnoxious. (Which was true.) If I win I’m going to go back to that one. Wouldn’t it be awesome if he is still the manager there and refuses to serve me 15 years later?

  8. 1. Chik-fil-a -i love the chicken biscuits. I wish there was one where I lived.

    2. Burger King- Whoppers are freaking delicious.

    3. Panera- I love the lemon chicken orzo soup. <3

  9. Free BK? Nice.

    Probably:
    1. Chipotle (if it counts as fast food, otherwise Taco Bell)
    big gap
    2. BK or Wendys if I’m in the mood for chili
    3. Skyline (if it counts, otherwise like Subway or Quiznos or Arbys)

    I’m indecisive.

  10. Love BKs old salad, I’m worried now that they won’t have my favorite Kens FF Ranch dressing with their new menu. Am patiently waiting for the calorie count on just the salad w/o the dressings. Also love MacDs salads, but have to bring dressing from home as their dressings are awful!

  11. Burger King
    Taco Bell
    KFC

If we win and buy all the new stuf for “almost free”, can we put it in our bathtubs and send you pictures anyway?

  12. BK actually was my number 1 when I was a kid, but now it’s more like…
    1.Wendy’s
    2.DQ
    3.Burger King

  13. my top three fast food are chipotle, in n out, rubios. but my dad loves burger king’s burgers

  14. My 3 favorite fast food places are probably….
    1. Wendy’s
    2. Arby’s
    3. Burger King (if only for the nostalgia factor)

When I was a little girl I used to love BK’s chicken nuggets and french fries. : )

  15. I must say, my favorite fast food place, and even healthy (yes, healthy!), is Arby’s–it’s junior roast beef sandwhich at something like $1.20 is tasty, includes a not tiny amount of roast beef, and is healthy, with lower calories. But, there’s a BK near me–and so I’ll take the prize regardless–thanks!

  16. i don’t really eat at a lot of fast food places. since i am veggie i only have the french fries, smoothies, and so on option. but, i swear to you and i can take a picture of me in my stolen crown to prove it, burger king has my favorite. why? because they are the only fast food place to have a veggie burger! and when it is made like a whopper with cheese and i add an onion ring side and large gold peak green tea (which i smuggle in my massive sigg aluminum bottle to steal this tea in) i am in veggie heaven!!! please, impulsive buy, let me win so i can fill my belly with fake meat goodness?! i will eat it all so y’all don’t have to!

but i don’t want to break the rules, so my three faves, that aren’t local deal, are –

    1. burger king.
    2. taco bell.
    3. panera/au bon pain. (not sure if that counts but others mentioned)?
    3.

  17. 1.Burger King, they are actually my favorite burger place
    2.Taco Bell
    3.Quizno’s

  18. 1. taco bell
    2. chipotle (does that count?)
    3. burger king. only place that has veggie burgers.

  19. 1. Burger King
    2. Burger King
    3. Burger King

Honorable Mention: Taco Bell for their Dorito Tacos

  20. 1. Smashburger
    2. Five Guys
    3. White Castle has been winning me over lately with their new chili.

  21. 1)Mighty Taco
2)McDonald’s, but only because their breakfast fare tends to be more palatable
3)BK, but only because of the existence of the $1 Single Stacker
3B) Taco Bell, but only during the time of the year when the Beefy Crunch Burrito is in town.

  22. 1. McDonald’s

    2. Panera

    3. Subway

I’ve never really been impressed with anything that I’ve tried from BK… still, if given the chance to try them for free, some of the new items sound like they might be worth a shot. However, I can’t imagine that I would go out of my way to try BK again otherwise.

  23. because i am vegan and kinda a food snob (head hung), i don’t eat at many traditional fast food places… but my husband does! and he would love to be able to spend $25 and stuff himself on fast food because his vegan wife never wants to go to them. his favs are:
    1. taco bell
    2. chipotle
    3. any seedy really quick local chicago mexican esablishment

notice a trend here? he loves spicy shit.

  24. My 3 favorite fast food places are:

    1. Taco Bell
    2. Wendy’s
    3. Subway

Sorry Burger King, not even in the top 3. Doesn’t mean I would turn down some free Whoppers though…

  25. 1) In N Out
    2) Steak & Shake
    3) White Castle

that said, I would enjoy trying some of these new items from BK 😀

  26. Popeyes is my crack.

I really use to like Burger King, I really did. I thought chicken fries were the bomb but now their chicken choices are pretty pathetic. I’m hoping they realize trying to copy McDonalds was a stupid idea.

  27. I would like to try some food at BK. I’ve only really had their whopper and their soft serve cone, which I must admit I prefer over McDonalds’.

  28. I guess it depends on the definition of fast food. My fast food = dollar menu usually.

    1. Wendy’s
    2/3. McDonals/Taco Bell

I used to like Burger Kings dollar menu but it seems to have gotten pretty small.

  29. I’m currently boycotting BK because they got rid of Chicken Fries. I went Sunday for the free fries and green ketchup and was really craving the Chicken Fries, but to my dismay they’ve been discontinued. But ill take the gift card and use it when I’m done boycotting.

    My faves:

    1. Taco Bell
    2. McDonalds
    3. White Castle

  30. I want to win! BK is in my top three followed by Wendy’s and Taco Bell! My heart will forever love the Rodeo Cheeseburger!

  31. 1. Panera
    2. Chic-fil-a
    3. Subway
Taco bell used to be one of my favorites until we moved right next a awesome Mexican restaurant, now I have no need for Taco Bell’s shitty tacos 😀

  32. My favorites, in the categories of subs, alternative grease and traditional grease, are (respectively) Jimmy Johns, Arby’s and Burger King. (CSS: I just ate at McDonald’s yesterday, for comparison’s sake and also a Rainbow Dash toy, and BK wins on fries alone.)

  33. Chick Fil A, McDonald’s and Taco Bell. I have to admit BK is not one of my favorite hamburger places but I do love their shakes, strawberry sundaes and onion rings. 😉

  34. 1. Jack in the Box
    2. Whataburger
    3. Taco Bell

I do enjoy Burger King from time to time, especially their chicken sandwhich. I miss the Chicken Whopper, that thing was awesome.

  35. I’m going to have to go with Quiznos, Taco Johns and Wendy’s but I do go to Burger King frequently and would love to try some of their new items.

  36. 1- Checkers (Baconator is RIDONKULOUS_
2- Wendys (chicken sandwich is bombtastic)
3- Burger King (cheeseburgers are cheesalicious and the mozzarella sticks are yummylicious)

    🙂

  37. Just found your site recently, and I’m so glad I did. Keep up the good work!

    1. Taco Bueno
    2. Mcdonalds
    3. Taco Bell

Burger King is OK, but I haven’t been impressed lately with the quality at my local store.

  38. Taco Bell, McDonalds, Arbys

(but even after typing that, my brain is going ‘WHAT ABOUT LONG JOHN SILVERS?’)

BK has never ‘wowed’ me, but I do enjoy it. I could go for some free Stackers, and their new fries are good.

  39. I can’t really decide. I can tell you for sure that Taco Bell is numbah one. It’s cheap and our local one is awesome and it’s pretty delicious. The rest are kind of dependent on whether I want cheap food, consistent quality, or whatever.

    I love Arby’s but it’s fucking expensive.
I love Rally’s and would bathe in their fries but there’s none local to here.
The local Burger King is pretty consistent. Eat their breakfast a lot. Been going there more often with the new fries– I hated the old ones.
McDonalds has a decent dollar menu I like.
Wendys I used to love but haven’t ate at in ages because it’s become too pricey– I can get Five Guys (a favorite) for the same price.
I like Dairy Queen’s food but our local one never, ever gets our order right, or it’s stale as hell.
Penn Station is pricey but always good.
Sonic is good but for some reason we don’t go there very often at all.
We eat at Steak N Shake a lot but it’s normally not drive-thru.
Then there’s the fried chicken joints which is a whole different ballgame…

So there’s more than you ever wanted to know about my fast food preferences.

  40. It’d be HEAVEN to try these new treat out! They just remodeled the BK by my casa, too! Hip and “mod” I think would describe it.

  41. Here’s me entering again hoping to win! I want the damn thing, I know ‘Burger King’ as Hungry Jack’s and I haven’t had Hungry Jack’s proper in quite a while. Help me indulge my guilty and pointless love of things bad for my body and take a breather in my Shaolin tradition! I needs me some artery clogging and heart stopping fast food!

  42. My favorites presented in clue format:
    1. religious place that closes on sundays
    2. golden arches
    3. have it your way!

  43. 1.) Do pizza places count as fast food? If so then pretty much any pizza place
    2.) Wendy’s
    3.) Maybe McDonald’s

  44. yabba dabba doo!

1: Braum’s (Love the Bacon Cheeseburger OMG epic, but they are a regional chain, 300 mile radius of tuttle OK farm.

2: Burger Street (again pretty much regional with only Dallas and Tulsa)

    3: Wendys

  45. Top 3? Not sure. Burger King probably isn’t one though. I like the place, just not somewhere I go very often.

  46. 1. Five Guys
    2. Arby’s
    3. Wendy’s

(I’m guessing Panera and Chipotle don’t count)

  47. Cool giveaway! 🙂
    1. McDonalds
    2. Taco Smell
    3. Tie between Arby’s and Wendy’s
Not including fast-casual of course. which would completely throw the game. Subway would probably be 2 if that counts

  48. What are the five best fast food restaurants to eat at? Mcdonald’s, Mcdonald’s, Mcdonald’s, Mcdonald’s and Mcdonald’s. Cuz they spit hot fire.

  49. here on LI, there is a serious chain deficit. no ralleys/sonic/arby’s/in-n-out/DQ….

So I guess i’d say 5 guys, green cactus, and wendys (in that order)

    god I mess Fuddrucker’s

  50. Carl’s Jr., McDonalds, Jack in the Box (hey, it’s always open and has breakfast all day…)

  51. Fast food can be a problem in a mixed marriage; my husband will eat ANYTHING and I’m vegetarian. Add to that a tight budget and our (nonlocal) favorites stack up thus:
    1. Subway (veggie for me and a variety for mate)
    2. Burger King (only national chain I’ve found with veggie burger and inexpensive variety for my ravenous husband)
    3. Taco Bell (cheap, cheap, cheap and ability to spice it up — gotta get our daily capsaicin)

  52. 1. Taco bell (only because its good both while drunk and while hungover)
    2. Erberts and Gerberts
    3. Jimmy Johns

  53. 1. Burger King
    2. Wendy’s
    3. Five Guys

I’m so sad that where I live right now the nearest Burger King is a twenty minute bus ride away!

  54. This is primary west-coast restaurants but still…
    1. Jack in the box
    2. Filiberto’s
    3. Chick Fil-a
Burger King barely finishes off at fourth.

  55. There used to be a Burger King near me, that I had been visiting since I was 8 years old. Remember those paper crowns?? They just teared it down….

  56. 1) Sonic. Had to move south 10 years ago to experience it, but totally worth it.

    2) Taco Bell. Sentimental favorite, dating back to the days when I could put away 8 Rancho Steak Burritos (circa 94-95 or so). Sadly, the city I currently live in is my first city of residence without a location.

    3) Braums. Regional flavor, y’all. Kickass burgers and fries, and allegedly other stuff, too.

I haven’t had much to do with BK the past few years. This could be due to the location here in town, which is right behind my house, closed for about 18 months. It’s open again. I haven’t been back yet. (They closed for financial purposes across the franchisee’s holdings, not for foul nastiness. Allegedly.)

  57. 1. Wendy’s
    2. Sonic
    3. BK

I’m more of a pizza or Cuban food kind of girl if I’m going to get food somewhere, but I do go to Wendy’s an awful lot. Sonic never lets me down. Tots, mmm. And I go to BK every time I go shopping. I happen to love their new fries, but I’m probably in the minority in that, haha.

  58. The only fast food place I go to is taco bell, to get the largest size baja blast they offer. But I still want to win.

  59. Taco Bell, McDonalds (breakfast only), and .. well, just those two, and not that often.

  60. 1. Subway (if that counts?)

    2. Taco Bell (Doritos taco, need more)

    3. Jack in the Box (because a bacon milkshake is a good idea?)

  61. As a vegetarian, my options are limited but I do dig the following~
    1) Burger King- the BK Veggie is actually pretty delightful (in a greasy, somewhat guilty way)
    2) Taco Bell- Bean burrito with nacho cheese sauce (tho’ totally bummed after finding out the sour cream is not vegetarian as it contains gelatin!)
    3) Subway also has a pretty good veggie (faux-meat) patty (I think made by Morningstar)
    Muchas gracias!

  62. I don’t always eat fast food, but I do, I prefer Burger King (not!). Actually, I rarely eat fast food, but I’d make an exception or two.

  63. 1. Steak ‘n’ Shake (if that counts)
    2. Wendy’s
    3. Chik-fil-a

Ironically Burger King isn’t in my top 3, nor is it in my top 5. I do, however, enjoy a lot of their offerings, just not for the price they expect. I like the tender crisp and and classic chicken sandwich, whoppers with cheese, and their onion rings–well, the sauce. If I want good onion rings I could go to hardees, and if I wanted good chicken I could go to Chik-fil-a.

    Ah well!

  64. I like BK’s burgers, fries, and chicken best; I like McD’s for milkshakes and cheap tasty coffee. Not sure about #3, but I’m into DQ blizzards these days so I’ll go with that 🙂
