NEWS: Crunch Into Cap’n Crunch’s Crunchy Cinnamon Roll Crunch…Crunch Crunch

Update: Click here to read our Cap’n Crunch’s Cinnamon Roll Crunch review

My mouth has been cut up by regular Cap’n Crunch and I’ve been burned by Cap’n Crunch’s Chocolatey Crunch. So I might stay away from Cap’n Crunch’s new Cinnamon Roll Crunch.

But, it’s hard because I’m such a sucker for cinnamon roll-flavored cereals.

According to the Cap’n Crunch website, the naturally and artificially flavored corn and oat cereal has “straight-from-the-bakery taste of cinnamon rolls combined with the Cap’n’s famous CRUNCH.” The cereal isn’t like Chocolatey Crunch, which consisted of inner mouth-scratching, chocolate flavored Cap’n Crunch cereal. Instead, Cinnamon Roll Crunch is made up of round cereal puffs, like Crunch Berries.

A cup of the cereal has 110 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 170 milligrams of sodium, 50 milligrams of potassium, 23 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 12 grams of sugar, 10 grams of other carbohydrates, and 1 gram of protein.

  1. If it’s ANYTHING like Cinnabon’s crossover into commercial food products like Pop-Tarts, its cereal or its bars, I’ll pass. Never tasted anything so FAR from its original product, and generic. Ugh.

  2. TRY IT. i usually avoid cinnamon roll-flavored things, despite my love of actual cinnamon rolls, because they tend to go overboard on the flavor. i gave this stuff a shot because it is surprisingly low-cal for a sugary cereal, and lo-and-behold it is AMAZING. it’s more of a delicately-balanced cinnamon toast flavor than a hardcore icing-soaked cinnamon roll flavor, but it works perfectly. if you like cinnamon things in general, you will love this cereal!

  3. I’m not much on cinnamon flavored cereal. I noticed this sitting in the pantry a few days ago and decided to give it a try. I have liked every other type of Cap’n Crunch I’ve had. I was a little sketchy at first. I was somehow presented with a little mix of a nice cinnamon flavor and a hint of the old French Toast Crunch cereal. Overall, it’s pretty decent. Would I recommend it? Yes, for a cinnamon cereal. No, if we are picking varieties of Cap’n Crunch. Would I buy this again personally? No, but I’m more of a Crunch Berries and Peanut Butter Crunch guy.
