SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/11/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Oreo Mega Stuff

A few years ago I dreamt about Oreo coming out with Oreo cookies with thicker filling, but in my dream it was called Quad Stuf. And in the same dream I imagined Gillette came out with a new razor called OchoRazo. (Spotted by Max at Stop and Shop.)

Golden Oreo Mega Stuf

Also, in the same dream, there were Golden Oreo Quad Stuf cookies made out of real gold, but were on sale for $3.99. Then I kept asking Cap’n Crunch if I should buy them all because they were so cheap. He said I should because he had a lot of room on his ship. (Spotted by Christian at Stater Brothers.)

Dole Banana Dippers

Wait a minute. These Dole Banana Dippers have already been dipped. Shouldn’t they be called Dole Banana Dippeders? (Spotted by Melissa at Publix.)

YoCrunch Waffle Bites

Great breakfast combo, eh? I can think of a greater breakfast combo — eggs, bacon, hash browns, orange juice to wash down high blood pressure medication, and the daily Jumble puzzle. (Spotted by Linda at Safeway.)

YoCrunch Yopa! with Dark Chocolate

YoCrunch needs to make a Yopa! Greek yogurt with Chips Ahoy! or Wild! Strawberry Pop-Tarts. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

  1. Those new products sounds so exciting. The banana dippers looks good but it seems too expensive I’ll wait for a sale and if they would release coupons.

Why the world Yocrunch pick Gabby to slap on the packaging?

  2. Bought some of those Megastuf Oreos, they’re awesome. there’s so much on them it looks layered like 2 double stuf put together. Taking a pic for my cousin, he thought I was joking with him and just put two together.

The creme itself feels a little creamier than what you’d find in double stuf though (similar to the Birthday Cake ones). You can squish it down with your hands to actually make it move and the cookie comes off easy.

I will say, despite that- I no longer need to take two double stuf to make something as delicious.

  3. I’m waiting for Oreo No-Stuf.

And are those banana dipper things frozen? Are you supposed to thaw them out? Chocolate-covered banana is awesome, but probably not if the banana is frozen.

  4. I’m surprised no one ever pre packaged waffles with yogurt before. I like eating my waffles with yogurt and this combo sounds good. Especially because I eat my breakfast at work, I wouldn’t have to wait to toast my waffle and pack it to work now.

  5. trader joes has had the chocolate covered banana slices for years now! and only $1.99/box. delicious frozen, just like the whole bananas at fairs and disney that are so messy.
