QUICK REVIEW: Jack in the Box Loaded Nuggets Munchie Meal

Jack in the Box Munchie Meal Loaded Nuggets

Purchased Price: $7.00*
Size: N/A
Purchased at: Jack in the Box
Rating: 5 out of 10
Pros: Cheese and ranch are a pleasant salty, creamy, and tangy combo on the nuggets. Comes with 10 chicken nuggets. Jack in the Box Tacos satisfy my taste buds more than the Loaded Nuggets. Halfsie fries. Reasonably priced meal.
Cons: I think calling these “loaded” is like calling Keira Knightley “well-endowed” because there aren’t many toppings. Lacks bacon, and whatever bacon there is gets lost in the sea on cheese and ranch. Uneven distribution of cheese and ranch. Doesn’t look like a lot in the tray it comes in. Passing out drunk and landing face first into a tray of these Loaded Nuggets. Least impressive of the four Jack’s Munchie Meal entrees.

  1. I get it, it’s not health food. But 102 grams of fat and 3593 mg of sodium? Just read this today about the owner of the Heart Attack Grill:

“In the interview, he placed a clear plastic bag filled with a powder-like substance, saying: “I’m here with the cremated remains of someone who died at my restaurant. He died of a heart-attack at my restaurant, and I’m putting the bag clearly on the table. I wish that Burger King, McDonalds, and everyone else would do the same thing.””

  2. I am not one to bash fast food – I indulge from time to time. But, 3,600 mg of sodium and 102 grams of fat – and for relatively small amount of food – is absolutely obscene.

  3. Pretty sure a Con should be: Possibility of heart explosion. I’m not healthy by any means, I can slam a McDouble and a McChicken and call it a day…but this is like downing 4.5 McChickens at once. For finger food.

  4. Was the dig at Keira Knightley’s body really necessary? It has nothing to do with chicken nuggets.

    1. Using your email, I found out you’re a regular reader, although you mostly just enter prize drawings and you once corrected a spelling error in a Burger King review. If you do read the reviews, you should know we make fun of a lot of things. We make fun of ourselves, celebrities, fast food mascots, etc. We have said some horrible things that are much worse than saying Keira Knightley is not well-endowed, but you didn’t say anything about those. And you say Keira Knightley has nothing to do with chicken nuggets, but the whole point of that sentence is to make that relation. This blog is filled with references of food and pop culture that don’t seem to go together, but then we put them together. And, again, you said nothing about those.

  5. FYI, the Munchie Meal price in Austin Texas is $7. Generally combos are a dollar more in California, although this is a special deal or something.

  6. I’m wondering what the product positioning is on “munchie meals”. Are they meant as actual “meals” or as snacks to just consume while you watch T.V. or something? If it’s the latter, the calorie count on this is stunningly awful. It has a somewhat lower number of calories that I try to eat in one day in this one meal.

Mind you, I’m also not a fanatic about nutrition and fast food. I eat plenty of crappy food… I just try not to eat quite so much of it as my daily calorie allotment. 😉 If this was actually tasty, it may be somewhat less stunning… nah, it’ll still be pretty scary. 🙂
