SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 7UP Tropical

7 Up Tropical

According to Wikipedia, this limited time only soda is a pineapple and mango-flavored 7UP. I bet it would taste great out of a coconut shell that’s topped with a paper umbrella. (Spotted by Aaron at Fred Meyer.)

  1. I found my yummy can of Tropical 7UP while shopping at my local Kroger. I think it was $0.70 or so for a big can. It is very delicious!!

  2. Saw this today at Safeway for 79 cents. Also in a red can is the Cereza/cherry flavor.

  3. Just bought one at my local convenience store for .77 cents. Has an artificial peach and well ripened fruit taste. Did not taste the pineapple or mango. Unless you wan to think of it as a bunch of tropical fruits got together, over ripened, added some carbonation, canned themselves and decided,”Pineapple and mango, yeah that’s what we taste like!” Everybody knows that when fruits are allowed to over ripen, they start producing alcohol. Oop! Now I’m tasting coconut. And everyone knows that when a group of tropical fruits get drunk and start making marketing decisions, that pineapple and mango are ALWAYS gonna strong arm themselves to the top of the heap. Pineapple and mango my a**!
Limited time. Of course. Do you really think you can trust a bunch of drunken fruit to show up everyday?

  4. I wish everyone would list what part of the country they were in when they spotted these unusual food items. Sometimes they’re regional so the rest of the country doesn’t have a hope of ever seeing them.

  5. I love the tropical 7 up…bought one can to try it and now cannot find it anyplace here in town. Please tell me it’s available someplace in the Lynchburg, VA area.

  6. I agree it is not a pineapple-mango flavor, but thinking off dropping a shot of Malabu Cocunut Rum in it. I also found this only in “tallboys” for .79 at Hy-Vee in Iowa (@lliillaa). It’s tasty and refreshing, but no specific fruit flavor jumps out at me.

  7. Found it in Southern Indiana at Speedway. I like it, my sister thinks its disgusting. Was in a bin up at the counter with the cherry and original flavors.
