  1. I’m usually not hungry until after 11 and by that time they;re not serving breakfast anymore.

  2. Damnit, why does the nearest Carl’s Jr have to be a location I can only get to on weekends?

The strawberry biscuit turned out really good, and all of their new breakfast promotions are sounding tempting in a gorge-on-biscuits way. I suppose I should treat that as an incentive to not avoid and postpone grocery shopping, since CJr is located in the parking lot of the store where I do my dawn raids for food.

  3. Any word on whether Hardee’s will get this too? Usually they share menus, but not always, and everything here is Hardee’s, not Carl’s Jr.

    1. The press release I got said Carl’s Jr. only. Will Hardee’s eventually get it? I don’t know. It’s weird their menus don’t completely mirror each other. Shouldn’t they?

      1. I feel like they should! It seems to me like the Hardee’s side of the company plays it a bit safer, which is unfortunate. I’d love some of the more experimental things that CJ releases from Hardee’s.

  4. FOLLOW-UP: I found a Carl’s Jr on the way to work that’s achievable if I take a very early train, so I tried this.

My intent was to try the biscuit, and the clerk somehow put in my order as a burrito instead. (This is the second consecutive CJ’s where what they’ve given me for breakfast is what they felt like, not what I ordered.)

Fortunately, it was a good burrito! Really excellent eggs, unlike JitB’s tendency to turn eggs to rubber. Super-crisp tater-thingies, lots of chorizo. Better than JitB’s most similar product, and I’m usually pretty good with JitB.

  5. The chorizo and eggs blended way better on the burrito. The biscuit wasn’t bad, but I just felt with the biscuit version of the chorizo and eggs I got separate flavors that didn’t mesh well.

  6. Great burrito, no real heat but plenty of flavor and a lot more chorizo than I expected.
