SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Stonyfield Petite Creme

Stonyfield Petite Creme

Its packaging looks like yogurt. It’s in the yogurt section. But it’s not yogurt. It’s actually a type of cheese. Perhaps it should’ve been called I Can’t Believe It’s Not Yogurt. (Spotted by Erin at Giant.)

  1. If it’s good cheese, I’d still eat it like yogurt. (Wait, is it supposed to be eaten like yogurt? Is it a dip? What is it???)

  2. I remember a product in the ’80s called “Fromage Frais” or something like that. It came in different flavors and was packaged like yogurt.

  3. I’m so excited, I had this back in 1990 as an exchange student in France! I loved it so much! Finally I can get it here, and it’s organic! Woo hoo!

  4. This is the absolute best “Not Yogurt” that I’ve ever tasted! It’s texture is creamy and the taste is yummy!! I think I’ve found my new best snack!! The crazy thing is I stumbled across this Yogurt/Cheese? by accident. By the way Stoneyfield Farms is clearly marketing this cheese in the yogurt section of the grocery stores.

  5. Just saw this for the first time over the weekend and tried it out today. Considering how much I loathe Greek yogurt (for exactly the reasons why they’re marketing this – bitter and too thick), it actually tasted very good and I liked it enough to put it on my shopping list.
