    1. I said wow too, when I saw how much potassium it had. It came shortly after the Wow I said to myself when I saw the number of calories it had, and the number of grams of fat, and shortly before I saw how much fiber and how much protein it had.

  1. The only possible response to Chick-n-Tater melt is awe. I’m imagining JitB having a product development subcommittee that reads the latest industry magazines while getting stoned, then wanders into the test kitchen and fixes whatever sounds good.

  2. So this sandwich is never available outside of 9pm to 5am or without all the other junk? Boo! I live in Chicago and we have zero JIB here but I’m visiting family in Indianapolis this weekend where JIB has built about 8 or 10 stores the past few years. I kinda want to try the chicken tater sandwich if I can split it with someone.. the numbers on it are just too terrible for me to remotely justify eating one myself. lol. And I really wish they sold them without all the additional crap in the meal box.

  3. I live in a test market for Jack in the Box, so we’ve had the Chick-n-Tater Munchie Meal for awhile now. It’s good. It’s exactly what you think it is and exactly what you want it to be if you’re ordering that much food at those hours. Chicken, bacon, ranch, cheese, a croissant and an oily hashbrown. You’re fooling no one. Enjoy it while you giggle at infomercials when you get home.

  4. That chicken sandwich looks heavenly but it contains more calories than I eat in one day! I suppose one wouldn’t hurt, though…

  5. Admittedly, I have had the chicken tater sandwich. I wasn’t under the influence of anything but hunger, and it served its purpose tremendously well. It had enough crunch in the tater to offset the softness and flakiness of the croissant. I wasn’t aware of the nutritional information at the time; I must of been too hungry to really care about that.

If I found myself that hungry again, however, I’m not sure I would readily do it again. Between the chicken, the potato, the croissants, the cheese, and the sauce (oh right, and the bacon), the net grease made the last few bites rather oily and messy, somewhat of a late reminder of what I had just finished putting into my system.

All in all, it starts off as an 8 out of 10, and ends up around a 3 out of 10.
