FAST FOOD NEWS: Sonic Boneless Chicken Wings

Sonic Boneless Chicken Wings

Sauce on the steering wheel. Sauce on the keys. Sauce on the turn signal. Sauce on the radio’s volume knob. Sauce on the parking brake lever.

Sorry. I’m just imaging how messy a car would get while eating Sonic’s new Boneless Chicken Wings.

They’re made with 100 percent all-white meat chicken and are tossed in one of three sauces: Buffalo, Asian Sweet Chili, or Barbecue.

Sonic’s Boneless Chicken Wings are available in six, 12, or 24 pieces. Those who order 12 or 24 pieces will be able to have two flavors.

  1. I thought there was some rule that you can’t call non-wings ‘wings’; I thought they had to be ‘wyngs’ or ‘wingdings’ or something.

  2. Pretty sure it would have to contain the “boneless” part since that means it’s chicken breast and not the actual wing. Or write it bone-in wings?

  3. I bought these last Friday and was impressed. These are different than their popcorn chicken as they are a lot larger in size. I also believe these are cooked to order or they sold through a ton of them since I had to wait 6 minutes according to the cashier.

Overall, I was impressed. The chicken aspect was really good. I wish they had a little better buffalo sauce to use on them because it wasn’t the most flavorful or spicy but still…for a quick fix they were good.

  4. My husband and I love these and have eaten them before with no issues. But, Wednesday night we had them and we both got sick with what I can only describe as severe MSG headaches. I went to their website and they say they do not use MSG, but I will not be eating them again. It is simply not worth it.
