SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/7/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Latte Pure Cold Brew Coffee with Almondmilk

It’s not Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, but if you squint at the Califia Farms logo and slowly pull your head away from your screen, at a certain point it kind of looks like the Starbucks siren. (Spotted by Mabelle at Safeway.)

Entenmann's Apple Cinnamon Iced Cake

Obligatory monthly new Entenmann’s product photo. (Spotted by Greg at Giant.)

Philadelphia Limited Edition Caramel White Chocolate Cream Cheese Spread

We’ve covered the pumpkin spice one before, but in the back of my mind I feel as if I’ve seen the caramel one before. I did a Google search for it, but came up empty. Am I imagining Philadelphia Cream Cheese flavors? (Spotted by Jamie at Hornbachers.)

Guinness Blonde American Lager

Wait. What? Guinness that’s not dark, thick, and Irish? Am I on Bizzaro Earth? (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Banquet Salisbury Steak Deep Dish

Why didn’t Banquet call it a Salisbury Steak Pot Pie? Although, I do have to admit that calling it a “Deep Dish” makes it sound slightly fancier than everything else Banquet offers. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Thank you to all the photo contributors! If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new or limited edition product on the shelf, snap a picture of it, and send us an email ([email protected]) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. Or reply to us (@theimpulsivebuy) on Twitter with the photo and the hashtag #spotted. If you do so, you might see your picture in our next Spotted on Shelves post.

Also, if you’re wondering if we’ve already covered something, search our Flickr photos to find out.

    1. They need to throw in some turkey and mutton so they have the entire meat category included.

  1. We tried the Caramel cream cheese; it looked like peanut butter, tasted like slightly browned sugar (but not quite caramel), and hardly at all like cream cheese.

  2. One reason the caramel may look familiar is that Market Pantry did a salted-caramel cream-cheese-product spread about a year ago, and you did run that one (thank you! yay!). Philadelphia had missed that particular boat at the time.

  3. There was a Dulche De Leche cream cheese as part of the Philadelphia Indulgence line a while ago.
