SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/10/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Starbucks Discoveries Peppermint Mocha

Posted something about the Starbucks Discoveries Gingerbread Latte earlier. Didn’t know then it had a sibling that’s as festive. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Campbell's Slow Kettle Style Creamy Broccoli Cheddar Bisque & New England Clam Chowder with Thyme

Campbell's Slow Kettle Style Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup

Fast pot these Campbell’s Slow Kettle Style Soups by not following their instructions and heating them on your stove at the highest setting. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Jimmy Dean Delights English Muffin Applewood Smoke Chicken Sausage Patty Sandwich

Pear trees will be known for pears and the first gift in “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” while apple trees will be known for apples and meat smoking. Apple tree wins! (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Twizzlers Caramel Apple Filled Twists

I would like to apologize to everyone who sent in a photo of these (I think there were seven of you). After doing a quick Google search, I thought they were a returning product. But then I later read a press release saying they were new. My bad. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Thank you to all the photo contributors! If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new or limited edition product on the shelf, snap a picture of it, and send us an email ([email protected]) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. Or reply to us (@theimpulsivebuy) on Twitter with the photo and the hashtag #spotted. If you do so, you might see your picture in our next Spotted on Shelves post.

Also, if you’re wondering if we’ve already covered something, search our Flickr photos to find out.

    1. I believe (someone correct me if I’m wrong) Marvo lives in Hawaii. Things in Hawaii are ridiculously expensive. You will pay a lot less assuming you don’t live there too.

  1. I had the clam chowder, not impressed. Like most supermarket clam chowders there were nearly no clams present and the taste was sub-par.

  2. Just had the Starbucks Discoveries Peppermint Mocha and it was pretty impressive. This is my favorite beverage from Starbucks and I get it all year long, hot in the winter and as a frappucino in the summer. Now I can easily have it at home and it tastes just as good! Plus I don’t have to drive to SB to get it!

  3. Was someone at starbucks sleeping when they made the packaging? “naturally flavored with other natural flavor” is what I’d expect to see on a badly translated pack of asian candy I found in chinatown, not a starbucks brand product.
