Tastykake Limited Edition Red Velvet and Salted Caramel Mini Donuts

Tastykake Limited Edition Red Velvet and Salted Caramel Mini Donuts

How about giving us mini Krimpets instead of these mini donuts, Tastykake. (Spotted by Sarah at Dollar General.)

V8 Veggie Blends (Carrot Mango, Golden Goodness, Healthy Greens, Purple Power)

V8 Veggie Blends (Carrot Mango, Golden Goodness, Healthy Greens, Purple Power)

Wait a minute…is that a purple carrot? (Spotted by Carla at Walmart.)

Luna Chocolate Cupcake Bar

Luna Chocolate Cupcake Bar

I don’t want to speak for all men, but I’d like a chocolate cupcake flavored nutrition bar. (Spotted by Sara at Target.)

Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars

Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars

You’re not so special anymore, Canada! You used to be the only North American country with Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars. But now, we got them too. Sure, probably 30-40 percent of us in the U.S. don’t know how to pronounce “quinoa,” but we have these Quaker bars now. (Spotted by Nick at Hannaford.)

Post Shredded Wheat Crunch Cereal

Post Shredded Wheat Crunch Cereal

I find it funny Post calls this cereal Shredded Wheat Crunch! because I like to call Post’s regular Shredded Wheat cereal Shredded Wheat Soggy! (Spotted by Jarred at Walmart.)

  1. Carrots are indeed purple. And yellow. And white. And black.

The orange ones are cultivated mutants.

  2. The name and design of that Luna box screams sanitary pads. For a second I thought the gluten-free craze had gone there.

    1. Buwhahaha. Omg.. YES! It took me a minute to realize why the box seemed .. unsettling.

The Shredded Wheat Crunch looks a lot like Canada’s “Shreddies” and a lot less like giant hunks rolled twine.

  3. I was in Quebec last summer and saw a commercial for Quinoa granola bars, in French of course. You know how they pronounced it? Just like it’s spelled, and the way it should be pronounced in English: “quin-O-ah”

  4. I feel like your estimate of the percent of Americans who can’t pronounce ‘quinoa’ is way, way, too low.

  5. Shredded Wheat Crunch looks a lot like Shreddies–a product that has been sold in Canada since 1939. Recently they’ve added flavour variations including Vanilla Almond Crunch. I prefer plain Shreddies. Why wouldn’t Post just market them in the States the same way?

  6. The TastyKake salted caramel mini donuts are entirely too tasty. I can’t buy them again because I ate almost the whole bag at once. Not a good idea for many reasons.
