SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 1/19/2015

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Market Pantry Cotton Candy Low-Fat Yogurt Pouches

Although this looks kind of gross, I have to admit cotton candy flavored yogurt sounds much better than yogurt flavored cotton candy. (Spotted by Debra at Target.)

Twizzlers Fruit Punch Pull 'n' Peel Candy

Usually, Twizzlers can be used as straws to suck fruit punch. This one, not so much. (Spotted by Grace at Walgreens.)

Bear Naked Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola

“Be Adventurous!” If your idea of being adventurous is eating granola, then welcome to my sad life. (Spotted by Nick at Target.)

Boca All American Flame Grilled Veggie Sliders

These Boca veggie sliders look more appetizing than White Castle’s Veggie Sliders. (Spotted by Nick at ShopRite.)

Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Meat Lovers Pork Sausage and Bacon Crumbles

I would like to make non-veggie sliders with this. (Spotted by Lindsay at Meijer.)

  1. Watch, now yogurt flavored cotton candy will become the next trend in Japanese snacks. If it is not already.

  2. If the Boca sliders are just small versions of their regular All American flame grilled burgers (the ones with cheddar cheese bits in them), they should be quite good. But they don’t look the same color in the picture, so maybe it’s a different recipe. I’ve never met a Boca burger that I didn’t like, though, so I’d try them as long as they haven’t gone the Morningstar Farms route of sticking allergenic egg whites in nearly everything.

Haven’t seen the caramel apple Bear Naked granola, but most of their granolas are really tasty so I’ll try it if I see it. The only one I don’t like is the original “protein” one. Haven’t tried any with chocolate, I’m a caramel person myself. But their fruit and nut/seed blends otherwise are really good. They often go on sale here and are well worth trying.
