SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Gatorade Lemon Ice (2015 7-Eleven Exclusive)

Gatorade Lemon Ice (2015 7-Eleven Exclusive)

Gatorade Lemon Ice is back! I don’t know when it was discontinued. I didn’t even know it once existed. But it’s back exclusively at 7-Eleven. (Spotted by Joshua at 7-Eleven.)

  1. Second best flavor of Gatorade ever. Only behind “Citrus Cooler.” It really is that good, which is why it’s even being acknowledged. Never understood why it was discontinued in the first place.

    1. CLEARLY the best Gatorade flavor of all time was Tropical Punch
Also an underrated flavor that didn’t last too long was Kiwi Strawberry…it had the flavor but wasn’t sickeningly sweet like the Snapple Kiwi Strawberry and other non-sports drink drinks were.

      1. My favorite were the Tiger Gatorade flavors. All three were really good in my opinion.

  2. Oh.. My.. God. *fangirl squeal* I lived for Lemon Ice back in the day! That and Starfruit. Imagine my disappointment when it was discontinued. Would buy it buy the big gigantic one gallon bottles and plow right through it. Course I was mowing the lawn back then with a non-self propelled mower in a hilly yard.. in the blistering heat. Took a while before I realized if I wasn’t lazy and did it before the noon-day sun; it wouldn’t be as hot..

  3. Thankful others share my excitement – which is why I sent the pic in… This was my absolute FAVORITE flavor as a kid – so happy to have it back!! Not coincidentally, it DID originally come right before Crystal Pepsi – wonder if this a sign of things to come…?

    1. Yes, thank you for sharing! One of my favorite flavors as a kid. I was actually just talking about it with a friend recently and was so happy to see it’s back. Went to 7-11 yesterday and got 6 bottles!

    2. Sir thank you so much for posting this.

I immediately ran out to get some. You’ve made my decade.

Oh my god I’m so happy.

  4. having just gone to 7-Eleven minutes ago I was in the parking lot when I saw sign saying the lemon ice was back. I didn’t believe what I saw I was literally in shock I immediately ran back into 7-Eleven where I bought two Lemon ices for $3.00 these things are worth their weight in gold I’ve missed this flavor sense yes I would agree somewhere around 98 or 99 and it is my favorite flavor of all time I have befriended the Facebook lemon ice page that has existed for years and this is basically vindication these things are worth their weight in gold I’ve missed this flavor sense yes I would agree somewhere around 98 or 99 and it is my favorite flavor of all time I have befriended the Facebook lemon ice page that has existed for years and this is basically vindication that amazing things can happen and that I feel universe has some sort of order to it. To be 100% honest with you guys I’m not sure if it’s the exact same formula that amazing things can happen and that I feel universe has some sort of order to it. To be 100% honest with you guys I’m not sure if it’s the exact same formula as it was in the 90s, I was in middle school the time and get in my taste buds have changed since then, but it tastes a little bit sweeter and closer to lemonade and I hate to say this but I do feel like it’s slightly different. I mean even smelling the bottle it just smells like lemonade, and I just don’t remember that. It’s amazing and it’s a miracle and for the record I questioned a Gatorade executive in my college business class who came in for a guest lecture on why they discontinued this flavor, so trust me when I say there is no bigger Lemon Ice fan. But yeah, this victory comes with some skepticism. Nostalgia, victory and doubt all in a single sip. Thanks for posting this by the way!

  5. Thanks to all for this post and comments! I did research and found it at my nearest 7 Eleven. I took a step further and wrote to gatorade about permanently bringing back lemon ice which is my all time favorite! Customer service let me know that they brought it back as their 20th anniversary. Gatorade has existed for 50 years. Lemon ice is a limited addition exclusive to 7 eleven and will cease production soon. I’m assuming end of this year. However, she verified that she will let the marketing team know about keeping it in permanent production. Gatorade needs to hear your comments to keep Lemon ice on the block. The more it’s requested and they see the sales profit, the more lemon ice has a chance to be around permanently. I haven’t had a gatorade since lemon ice went out of production and I missed it, and once it’s gone I’ll stop drinking gatorade again. I just don’t care for any other flavor… well hope this info helps and good luck to us all….Gatorade, We Lemon Ice!

  6. Search your Flickr huh? There is literally nothing on your Flickr when following your link.

Maybe wait before you post and tell people to go to your Flickr until AFTER you’ve actually uploaded some content on there? Just a thought…

  7. I really wanted to try this but I completely forgot about it. I hope it returns this year.
