SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Trader Joe’s Brownie Crisp

Trader Joe's Brownie Crisp

When I first saw these, all I could think to myself was, “General Mills should come out with a Cookie Crisp Cereal spinoff called Brownie Crisp.” So get on that, General Mills. (Spotted by Margaret at Trader Joe’s.)

If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new or limited edition product on the shelf, snap a picture of it, and send us an email ([email protected]) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. Or reply to us (@theimpulsivebuy) on Twitter with the photo, where you spotted it, and the hashtag #spotted. If you’ve tried the product, share your thoughts about it in the comments.

Also, if you’re wondering if we’ve already covered something, search our Flickr photos or use the Google Search box on the right (or below if you’re on a mobile device) to find out.

  1. I tried it and was shocked! SO GOOD! It vegan AND gluten free!!! I couldn’t believe that I was eating a gluten free and vegan brownie. It like brownies and really good. First time I saw I thought they might taste like cardboard and bland but it blew my mind away. GET IT!

  2. ..Hi from Edmonton,Alberta,Canada…what is this Traders Joes ??? Is it just a brand or a actual store front??… Keep seeing this TJ stuff on here all the time …just curious .

    1. Trader Joe’s is an actual storefront. You can get their items only in their stores (and maybe Ebay resellers). I believe they are only in the US, and in limited locations (alas, there isn’t one where I live).

  3. In England nestle actually makes a cereal called brownie crisp and its in the same product line as cookie crisp since that’s who makes it over there!

  4. Cookie Crisp Brownie flavor did actually exist in the U.K. under the Nestle family of cereals. I’ve never had it, but it appears to duplicate America’s short-lived Cocoa Puffs Brownies.
