Burger King has replaced their Red Velvet Oreo Shake! Thank goodness. Because that means no more comments in our news post and review about the dessert. And that means no more comments from people describing what happened in the bathroom after consuming the Red Velvet Oreo Shake.

  1. They need to stop with the oreo “new flavors” shakes. Make something that doesn’t involve any oreos!

    1. Yeah. Especially because in this case I HIGHLY doubt that the chocolate oreo crumbs go well with pumpkin of all things.

    1. The chocolate oreo pieces didn’t clash at all with the pumpkin? It just sounds like such an odd combination. I mean I get it’s kinda Halloween-y black and orange and all. But sounds odd. In other news I gave Arby’s pumpkin cheesecake shake and a go. I think I’ll save my $3 next time. The ice cream was oddly icey and the pumpkin flavoring tasted like a pumpkin flavored caramel. And the base cheesecake flavored ice cream was a bit strong in that artificial cheesecake flavor. To this day the best pumpkin shake I’ve ever had at a fast food joint is the pumpkin pie shake that Sonic offered a couple years in a row but they seem to have stopped offering it. Haven’t seen it the last few holiday seasons. But man that thing was GOOOOOD

      1. Yeah, that Arby’s shake was pretty bad… the taste was so artificial (not that I expect real pumpkin puree in a fast food shake, but this one was just “sickly-sweet chemical overload”… I couldn’t finish it.

The Burger King Pumpkin Spice Oreo shake was… surprisingly decent, however. I thought the Oreos would be terrible in it but actually I thought the combination worked. Not my very favorite, but I’d get it again once in a while.

(I remember Sonic having that pumpkin pie shake, by the way, but I never did try it)

  2. This was a surprisingly good shake! I enjoyed it very much and have in fact purchased it 3 times so far.
It is not overly sweet and definitely hits the spot for a sugary dessert during a stressful day.
I did notice that one shake was not as good as the others, so I guess you may have to get lucky with the person that prepares it. I also recommend requesting them to not add the whipped topping, it just ends up thinning down the last few bits of the shake.

  3. The Pumpkin Oreo Orange Pumpkin Shake was tasty and delicious. I do hope they bring back the Gingerbread Shake in time for this holiday season.
