FAST FOOD NEWS: Jack in the Box Bistro Buttery Jack

Jack in the Box Bistro Buttery Jack

Impulsive Buy reader Rene sent this photo of his TV playing a commercial for a new Jack in the Box Buttery Jack variety that being tested in Visalia, CA.

The Bistro Buttery Jack features a beef patty topped with melted garlic herb butter, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, Havarti cheese (oooh, fancy!), and truffle aioli sauce (oooh, double fancy!).

To be honest, I had no idea what Havarti cheese was, so I had to look it up. According to Wikipedia, it’s a semisoft Danish cow’s milk cheese that has a buttery sweet flavor.

If you’ve tried this test product, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. kinda wish we had a jack in the box…though, a diet of only fast food is probably bad. So maybe it’s a good thing?

  2. The burger is great. The sauce and cheese remind me of sauces I’ve had on much more expensive burgers. Though, I don’t care much for the bun/patty so I just get the butter garlic/cheese/sauce subbed onto a jumbo jack. Much cheaper.

  3. So disappointing, first of all I went there expecting the cheddar onion buttery Jack and got this and it literally doesn’t taste any different in fact it probably has less flavor than the regular buttery jack, you do notice that cheese but it’s not interesting enough to warrant trying this

  4. They are testing a new jalapeño buttery jack in Modesto california i know because their is a jack in the box by my school and I eat their 2 or 3 times a week.

  5. Love it. I allow myself one day of fast food per month and order this wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun. DELICIOUS. Takes away about 200 calories from the sandwich. But so worth it.
