      1. Best meals I have EVER EATEN for frozen – Best white meat chicken taste actually like real chicken :))
The different formulations they have are awesome with the peanut chicken and white wine chicken being standouts for me – I have recently lost 30 pounds and these are the best tasting low-calorie meals on the market !!

        1. The best ever eaten? Seriously? If you like your food with a boat load of pepper then samartmade is for you. The excessive use of pepper is standard in all their meals. No thanks!

    1. Just tried the Chicken with Spinach Fettuccine and it had good flavor and didn’t really need anything extra. If you are on a restricted sodium diet of 2000mg this meal can work with 630mg. The ingredients are simple and do not contain preservatives or artificial colors/flavors from what I can tell in the ingredient list. Cal 220, Fat 6 – Sat Fat 3 – Trans Fat 0 – Polyunsat Fat 1 – Monosaturated Fat 1.5, Chol 60, Sodium 630, Carbs 19 – Fiber 2 – Sub 4, Protein 22.

      1. The Chicken with Spinach Fettucine had a good flavor overall. The chicken particularly was good. I was surprised by how few noodles there were in the tray. Barely any at all.

  1. Made with real ingredients you can pronounce. Because thinking and not being scared of chemicals is for nerds, right?

  2. Tried the Rosemary Grilled Beef and Vegetables. First off relooked at the ingredients when I got home and found the beef is a mix of beef and corn meal. Figured would still try it. The picture shows brussle sprouts as one of the veggies, it had a grand total of HALF a brussle sprout. The rest was sweet potatoes and onions.
No flavor once so ever for any of it and the steak was tough and could tell was processed mushed together. Will not be trying any more of these.

    1. On my second so far. I’ve had the rosemary grilled beef and the chicken orange bowl. Gotta say, by far the best frozen meals I’ve had. I’ve tried them all. Evol were good for a while, but even compared to those – these taste even more like home cooked food. Floored by the ingredients. No carageenan, typical emulsifiers or maltodextrin garbage. Tasty as heck! I didn’t have the complaints as above about the grilled steak.. very good flavor, not bland, and plenty of brussel sprouts.

    2. I tried this one today too.
I had one and a half brussel sprouts, I was lucky! The rest was sweet potato, which was good.
I did not like the sauce though. So I did not eat the steak:( There was a good amount of steak, that was a nice surprise and a huge waste.
Curious about the chicken entrees, I might try one.

    3. Mine had quite a lot of brussels sprouts (as well as a lot of onions). It was fairly tasty, although I quit eating the onions.

  4. Tried the Roasted Turkey & Vegetables. Loved it! Sodium content is 580 mg (for the person who asked). Had 20g of protein and 3g of fiber. Total calories 240 with 20 calories from fat. For those of us who do not eat frozen meals often, I think it is a solid choice!

  5. I too just a few minutes ago tried the Rosemary Grilled Beef and Vegetables. It was FANTASTIC! I had about 4 brussell sprouts and the rest was a good mix of onions and sweet potatoes. There was enough steak to fill me up. It wasn’t too tough. I had a great lunch and will certainly purchase again. Now if only I could find coupons :/

    1. I enjoyed the rosemary grilled beef and veggies as well. It has a little kick to it. I was surprised by the flavor.

  7. Just finished the Roasted turkey and veges. It was yummy!Turkey medallions, maple glazed sweet potatoes and green beans with a hint of orange. It tasted like what it should taste like. I am going to buy some more for lunch only 240 calories, but will add fruit or another vege. to make it more substantial. Yummy!

  8. I love the Smart Made. I have tried 5 different ones so far. I don’t like Smart Ones they taste bland. Today I had the white wine chicken and couscous it was good.

  9. I have tried the chicken with spinach fettuccine and the Mexican style chicken bowl – loved them both!! Very good flavor for a healthy frozen meal. And if you’re limiting your intake of GMOs, the packaging is not marked indicating use of any GMO ingredients – as is becoming more and more common (check your packaging!!).

  10. I tried the mexican style chicken bowl yesterday. I can report that the texture and flavor of the chicken was really good-stringy like an actual breast and not like the usual formed white meat loaf. It also left me quite satisfied until dinner at 21 grams of protein, though I added apples and cheese as a size. Looking forward to trying other flavors.

  11. I tried the mexican chicken bowl today. It’s tough for me to even describe how disgusting it was. Seriously…this gets a “do not buy” recommendation from me. Back to my Lean Cuisines. Unfortunately, it sounds like some of the other varieties might have potential…but my experience has soured me on this brand, so I’ll pass.

      1. Interesting. I actually really enjoyed it. Thought the tortilla was unnecessary, but otherwise was perfectly acceptable. Having the Turkey and vegetables one now. Quite impressed with the flavor and texture. I added half a bag of steamed brussels that I broiled with olive oil/balsamic. With that, a very filling meal!

      2. that’s bizarre. i tried the mexican chicken bowl last night and was blown away. by far the freshest tasting frozen meal id had. ive been eating a frozen dinner every night recently because im counting calories and it makes it easier to have a meal where i dont have to calculate everything. ive tried a bunch of different brands and this was easily the best one. the chicken tasted like real, grilled chicken. lots of flavor. i had no idea a frozen dinner could be that good. literally wanna go back to the store tonight and see what other ones they have. pretty weird that the guy said “back to my lean cuisines” considering those are nowhere near as good in my experience. maybe he works for them 😉

      3. What are you, 8 years old? Who wastes perfectly good food like that? Sounds like you might be a bit of a drama queen. Nothing that is selling MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of boxes could possibly be so “disgusting” that it has to be thrown away…jeez.

  12. I tried the white wine couscous chicken today and the other chicken dish with spicy peanut sauce yesterday.
Both meals I had to spit the chicken part out as it tasted rotten….not much was left to be desired.
I will certainly not be trying any more of these meals.

    1. The white win chicken & couscous was the other meal I tried. The sauce wasn’t my favorite, but otherwise I liked it well enough to buy it again. There was a reasonable amount of chicken and it tasted fine. You don’t get a lot of food for 190 calories.

  13. I thought I would try it, Rosemary grilled GARBAGE. Totally gross, looked nothing like the picture.

  14. Totally disgusted. Smaller size bowl and when I opened it, it was not even half full. Looks NOTHING like the picture, three small pieces of chicken and the rest is all mush. And they are not cheap.

  15. Tried both Chicken with Spinach Fettucine and Beef with Veg & Sweet Potatoes.
Excellent mixture of protein and vegetables in both. I was skeptical of spinach fettucine but enjoyedthis recipe, I went and bought both again.
SmartOnes (only the thin pizza is worth it) was not a good deal but the SmartMade are definitely staying in my freezer!

  16. I have tried all of them and for diet they taste better than most frozen meals. My biggest compliant is that they look nothing like pictured on the box. After cooking they are a mess and resemble canned dog food. And my Grilled Beef had zero Brussel Sprouts which why I bought it. I was excited for the sprouts. The meat in each one has tasted excellant.

    1. I’ve had the Rosemary Grilled Beef & Vegetables twice and enjoyed the flavor. Most frozen meals never look the same as the picture on the box. Then again, the same could be said for many packaged foods (i.e., size of food portions are smaller than enlarged image on the outside of the package). First time, there as an adequate amount of sweet potatoes, onions, and brussel sprouts (there were 4 or 5 of them). Second time is today and there were NO brussel sprouts, only sweet potatoes and onions. I’ve never encountered a frozen meal (any brand) where one of the advertised food items was completely missing from the meal. It’s understandable that anytime humans and machines are involved in the manufacturing process, errors may occur. However, I’d hope that the Smart Made/Smart Ones manufacturer’s has quality control standards in place to ensure the consumer receives the advertised product and improves upon the standards to minimize customer frustration and disappointment. I bought the Chicken with Spinach Fettuccine, but haven’t tried it yet.

  17. I’ve had the Spicy Peanut Chicken and Broccoli and the Roasted Turkey and Vegetables. They were both delicious. By far the best frozen meals out there (my previous fave was the Cafe Steamers).

I love that everything on the ingredient list is real food. Real enough that I can look at the ingredient list and re-create these meals in my kitchen if I want to. They also have around 500mg sodium, which is less than most other packaged meals.

I plan on trying the others. These are great to have in the freezer at work when I don’t want to go out for lunch. At less than 250 calories they leave me hungry, so I usually always add a snack when I have one of these meals.
