  1. The idea that a sandwich place should offer Reubens is pretty standard, lots of great deli’s have them year round. However, when you consider that Subway has never had them previously, promotes it as a “New” item with signs and advertising all over the place and that it is for a limited time only….. you would assume that somebody in Corporate would have the common sense to say that possibly this “New” limited time advertised item, would sell best and attract the most customers if it were to occur say in the month of March. Possibly around the middle, like say at least starting on the 15th. Just a thought.

  2. Just had the corn beef Reuben, it was a great ‘light’ alternative to a regular Reuben. Corn beef lean but not salty enough; main complaint is that sauerkraut had little flavor, not salty or tangy AT ALL ? It was a tasty sandwich that approximated a Reuben, donr get if you want the REAL THANG ?

Mainly came on here to say a great big THANK YOU for being the ONLY place online with nutrition info; even SUBWAY’S WEB SITE DID NOT HAVE IT!!! Am a diabetic on insulin who needed that info, so thanks again ?

  3. Subway is pretty close so we decided to try their new Reuben sandwich. I can sum up the experience in 3 words……..Go to Arbys……..better bread, sauerkraut, thousand Island dressing, and portion size is a lot better !!

  4. I tried the footlong corned beef reuben at my local Subway. I asked the guy, “Can I get double meat on that?” He then loaded it up, and the reuben looked impressive as hell. Then he told me: “That’ll be $14.50.” $8.50 for the sub, and $6 extra for double meat? I understand corned beef is expensive, but $14.50 for a footlong from Subway is RIDICULOUS. The sandwich itself was okay, but of course it was on bland rye bread from Subway’s method of proofing then baking shipped frozen sticks, their usual generic Swiss cheese, lame thousand island dressing, and most likely sauerkraut from a can. I’ll stick with reubens from a REAL deli from now on. $14.50??? Damn.

  5. I thought it was pretty darn good. Sure on from a deli would be better but it would also have 3x the calorie count. I’ll definitely take it considering it is within my daily caloric intake limits. I hope they bring it back often

  6. I’m a real fan of Reubens and go to subways pretty often. I tried one a few days ago at subway in the Center South Shopping Center in Aiken, SC. It was the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. They don’t have a clue how to make one. A Reuben is supposed to be a hot sandwich. The meat was cold and the Swiss’s cheese was not melted. After my first bite I was tempted to skip lunch and throw it in the trash can. Go to either Jersey Mikes or Arbys. They’ve got it figured out.
