  1. Would love to see here a review of this here! A healthier version of the original, using whole wheat?

    1. Sorry mike, but this is just a plain old boring copycat product since cinnamon toast crunch is also made with “whole grain wheat and rice flour”:

Just a stupid question from a non US foodie: Our supermarkets have store brand products of cinnamon toast crunch for like ages… this is just the first time “Trader Joe’s” is going to “copy” CTC right? Grocery Stores like Aldi already have “Millville CTC” right? oO

      1. Actually Cinnamon toast crunch is made with GMO’s while TJ’s brand is not made with GMO’s so it is not the same supplier. So it has to be another supplier.

  2. A lot of Trader Joe’s products are private label variations of existing name brand products. Some ingredients are modified to fit Trader Joe’s “natural” platform but for the most part is just repackaging the same existing product in Trader’s Joes branded packaging.

It makes sense for the bigger and smaller brands to do this and it’s typically contracted out to a third party that repackages everything. There is a company in my town that does this and they are expanding. Brand name cookie, cracker and brand company track trailers lined up outside 24/7.

I would not be surprised if General Mills or one of the natural brands, often owned by the bigger brands, makes this product. Does Trader Joes’ even make anything themselves? It’s pretty much all Private Label and smaller regional brands.

For TJ’s, the easiest tell is when they use the same style of packaging and the ingredients list is an exact or near match. I know for a fact that Amy’s Kitchen, Gardein, Lightlife, Morningstar Farms and Back to Nature have their products repackaged for Trader Joe’s.

  3. I just tried these side by side. They’re definitely not Cinnamon Toast Crunch. They’re not as good as the Target knockoff of Cinnamon Toast Crunch either. Very much “just okay.”
