ANNOUNCEMENT: No New Posts Until February 9

I’m currently in Japan with my wife (Hokkaido to be exact and it’s frickin’ cold) and I thought I’d be able to do touristy stuff during the day and then prepare blog posts at night. But I’m finding that to be difficult since we’re also doing touristy stuff at night.

So I’ve decided to just enjoy my first trip to Japan (and temperatures below 10 degrees) and wait until I get back to my warm rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to start posting again. But then again, some of you have been sending awesome Spotted photos that I really want to post, and I’m a workaholic.

But for now, I shall leave you with this:

  1. Japan! Now i’m jealous!
Enjoy your time marvo! And bring abck some interesting stuff to review! 😉

  2. I just went to Japan to visit my brother who was studying abroad. I also lived there for four years. When we were there, my brother said that guy sings a really popular song there, which he is thoroughly annoyed by. We bought the cookies and sent them to my mom’s sister. She was pretty amused.

  3. Not to sound ungrateful, but what’s the point of constantly announcing new reviewers if the site lives or dies on one person? I honestly don’t mean to sound snarky, I just don’t get it.

    1. That was the first thing that came to my mind also. Why not add another volunteer site administrator on a temporary or part time basis? Surely there’s at least one person trustworthy enough?

    2. Kevin is correct. I do like to proofread every review that’s posted. And Junior also makes a good point. I really should have someone in place to cover for me whenever I take a vacation like this. But I took my laptop with me with the intention of doing work at night. However, I didn’t realize how late our tour group was going to be out every night. By the time we got to our hotel, all I could do was shower and go to sleep because the next day we had to get up early to go to our next destination. I’ll make better plans next time.

  4. So awesome!! Have a blast on your well-earned vacation, Marvo. Look forward to your return and hearing all you tried. 🙂

  5. Enjoying the vacation is most important.

Too bad there isn’t time to post about the crazy candy available in Japan.

  6. Enjoy Japan! I went there in June of 2015 I loved trying all the crazy snacks and drinks they had there. I hope you take lots of pictures there (hopefully some of vending machines too) and post some of your interesting finds when you come back.
