  1. I thought theses were terrible. I don’t know if it was just the place I got them, but they sucked. They weren’t breaded like the original and had so much seasoning on it, it would fall off in clumps. All I could taste was the seasoning, couldn’t taste the chicken.

    1. I completely agree, terrible! I love spicy food, but the seasoning was caked on and overpowering. Not a fan of whatever imparts the spice either. I’m not a culinary guru so I couldn’t say for sure, but my guess is a heavy coating of paprika. It reminded of the KFC Nashville Hot chicken after it subdued on the aftertaste. I thought the KFC Hot Nashville chicken was interesting, but not something I would want often. Multiply the seasoning by 3-4 times and you will probably arrive at this ill thought chicken concoction.

  2. Honestly I use to work at hardees and was there when they implemented the hand breaded tenders … back then we would make our own by throwing some hot sauce into the buttermilk and season the breading just a tad …. and it tasted amazing … this shit right here though.. is unbearable. The spice in the breading is one thing .. but this Cajun seasoning is legit falling off in clumps like instead of a sprinkle… they got those tongs and drowned them in this salty ass seasoning that burns the shit out of people’s lips.

I was so sad I couldn’t eat my dinner.

  3. Disgusting! I can not believe Hardees (who makes the BEST hamburger of all) allows this spicy chicken to have Hardee’s name on it. It was so terrible that I couldn’t even eat it. It is ridiculously covered with a dry, granular, terribly salty seasoning (and I love salt) that tastes like Chile powder and is painfully hot. Plus, you can taste that there is sugar in the seasoning granules. I hate it when they put sugar in stuff that doesn’t need sugar. Did Hardee’s even taste test this stuff? I wanted to go back for a refund but I didn’t have time.

I’m also shocked at how much the menu prices have suddenly increased to the point of ridiculous and not worth it. After all fast food is fast… not quality food.

  4. I didn’t they were awful, but they were just so incredibly salty it was hard to eat them. The seasoning seemed to be 80% salt and I could barely taste anything else.

  5. I love spicy food and was really looking forward to trying these. I finally got my chance, today. The heat was fine but they were so salty, after I was about halfway through my second finger, I vomited all over the table. How can anyone eat this much salt and actually digest it?

  6. I bought these for my son because he LOVES hot food. He finished one and was determined not to eat more. I decided to eat them because they are not cheap. I finished one and was not impressed. Not only was it too salty, but the seasoning was caked on. It tasted like a combination of paprika and cayenne pepper, but it was all-around disgusting. I would not recommend them at all. BTW, if these tenders are “hand-breaded”, then why was our local Hardee’s out of spicy tenders?
