FAST FOOD NEWS: Starbucks Pink Drink

Pink Drink 2017

Last spring, a new Starbucks drink craze swept the nation. Or should I say PINK craze?

The Pink Drink began as an off-the-menu beverage customization, but it’s now on the year-round beverage menu. It’s made by using coconutmilk instead of water in a Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refreshers and is topped with a scoop of strawberries.

A 16-ounce serving has 140 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 60 milligrams of cholesterol, 0 milligrams of sodium, 1 gram of carbohydrates, 24 grams of fiber, 20 grams of sugar, 1 gram of protein, and 50 milligrams of caffeine.

I’m sure the 24 grams of fiber is an error, but for posterity, I’m going to leave this screenshot here:

  1. I’m guessing the fiber and carbs are switched up. Or that’s a filling low carb drink…

  2. My mom has ordered it numerous times after we saw it posted all over the internet and she absolutely loves it! It’s her go-to drink in the summer and in warmer months. She also tried it the other day with a scoop of matcha powder, which added another bit of sweetness to it. That version, from my understanding is referred to as the “unicorn” drink, due to the hue of green it adds to it.
