i saw these and tried both. what can i say, i’m a sucker for the “new/interesting/weird.”
i can’t saw much about the cubano. i’ve never had true cubano espresso, but this was good. it wasn’t bitter/over-roasted which i liked a lot and had a subtle sweetness which was pleasant and not over-done. i can’t speak to the color, because i drank straight from the can “cuz i’m a man,” lol, but it was definitely an easy drinking espresso that i was buy again…pending on the price, i’m kinda cheap.
the salted caramel cream version is what drew my eye the most. caramel is one of my favorite things and this delivered nicely. the sweetness came through first and was not over-powering, followed by the saltiness. surprisingly, the saltiness did not linger tho. it went back to a creamy-smoothness that i found very enjoyable. and similar to the other espresso, it was not bitter/over-roasted so the whole drink was great. clearly my fav of the two, but i think i was caramel biased. haha
i recommend both, especially if they are on sale. 😉
