FAST FOOD NEWS: White Castle Bacon Jam and Black Bean Sliders

White Castle Bacon Jam Slider

White Castle has two new limited time only sliders on the menu — the Bacon Jam Slider and Black Bean Slider.

Bacon Jam Sliders are Original Sliders that are also topped with a bacon jam and smoked cheddar. Unfortunately, for those of you in Chicago, this slider won’t be available. Instead, you’ll be able to buy Brisket Sliders.

White Castle Black Bean Slider

The Black Bean Slider features a Dr. Praeger’s patty made with black beans, red peppers, and corn. It’s also topped with your choice of Sweet Thai, Ranch, or Honey Mustard sauces.

Both sliders are 99 cents at participating locations.

If you’ve tried either one, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. These look great! I’m curious why Chicago doesn’t get the one though. Do they have a law against bacon jam? Lol not like it matters. That place is a food Mecca anyway. And they have deep dish which I really hope I get to try someday. It’s definitely on my bucket list lol ?

    1. Just went to WC today to try and was #triggered when they didn’t have the bacon jam. So I tried the black bean and the brisket. Both are terrible and dry. Black bean tasted like a dry disk of refried beans, and very bland. The Brisket was not much better. Very thin dry slices of brisket, with little to zero smoke ring. It was more like a beef jerky slider. From the reviews of the bacon jam slider I’ve read, it makes me very angry that Chicago does not get it, because people seem to really like it.

  2. Ditto as to these looking great and sounding creative. Congratulations, White Castle, and in doing what others are not!

  3. Tried both Sliders today. The Black Bean Slider was fine, nothing special. They didn’t put any sauce on mine – the result was a mild but pleasantly crispy patty that needed a bit of moisture. I’ll try it again and make sure they put the sauce on before I drive away.
The Bacon Jam Slider, on the other hand, was spot-on. It was your basic White Castle slider with a thin slice of cheese and just the right amount of bacon jam. Delicious! Hope they keep them on the menu!

  4. Just had black bean slider. A bit on the dry side but had some nice spices. Nice to have a healthier alternative (although I’m a Jersey girl and was practically raised on the classic White Castle burger) and I would get these again. But does anyone know the nutritional info?

Also tried the veggie burger. Again, not a “wow,” but tasty enough and I’d give it a whirl again. A little bit of thai chili sauce kicks it up a notch!
