Update: We reviewed the burger and the fries.

Thanks to the queso, Wendy’s new Bacon Queso Burger, Bacon Queso Chicken Sandwich, and Bacon Queso Fries look messy. I’m talking 5-napkin messy.

  1. For those who have tried them, do they have a mild, medium or hot spice to them?
They look great, but I don’t like super spicy.

    1. I’d say it’s medium, but it was definitely more spicy than I expected.

  2. I went to a known bad Wendy’s location, but this queso had almost no flavor on the burger. It tasted strongly like that sour salsa they have on it.. it had a sour + roasted taste to it. Honestly, the worst thing I’ve had from Wendy’s. Might be better on the fries or without that nasty, overpowering salsa.

  3. I tried the burger, thought it was pretty good usually the bun tends to make the heat uneven but the texture of it made it pretty consistent.

  4. I had the fries. The queso was thin and mostly flavorless, otherwise, it’s baconator fries. Will pass on the burger because of this.

  5. I wish I could have paid 5.39 for this sandwich. I had to pay 6.29!!?!?!?!

For a full meal for me with the special fries It would been over 10 pucks plus tax. Highway robbery.

  6. I did not realize how spicy this sandwich was going to be. I usually don’t like really spicy foods so had I known I would not have gotten it. The bread is bland. The chicken is okay but the spiciness keeps me from being able to enjoy it. Maybe I should have read the menu a little more carefully, I guess. And I paid $5.79 before tax on this sandwich in Hampton, VA. $5.39, huh?

  7. I’ve had 2 of the Bacon Queso Chicken Sandwiches. Both were fairly spicy but I like spicy food so this is good IMO. The first sandwich I had looked just like the pictures (big fluffy looking chicken filet) and tasted great (plenty of cheese, tender chicken, appropriately cooked bacon). The second one I ate (at different location) had a small rubbery piece of chicken and flavorless bacon. I’m usually disappointed with Wendy’s so I guess I just got lucky one the first one.
