SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Dannon Oikos Mayan Chocolate Greek Yogurt

Dannon Oikos Mayan Chocolate Greek Yogurt

Mayan chocolate in Greek yogurt from a French company that’s found in the most American store. Oikos? More like NATOs. (Spotted by Rachel C at Walmart.)

  1. Let’s complicate matter even more: Dannon was founded by a Spaniard after being influenced by Pasteur in France, with the company starting in Spain but eventually moving headquarters to France by the original founder’s son.

So we got a Spanish company founded on French technique, later relocated to France and now making Greek inspired yogurt with a Mayan (coincidentally conquered by Pedro de Alvarado, a Spaniard) twist.
