Which of the Five Will Stay Alive!!!

Sorry, no review today, but I’m bringing back an oldie, but goodie. It’s product election time! (Damn, I need a catchier name than that!)

For those of you who are new to The Impulsive Buy, every so often we hold a product election, which allows you, the readers, the decide what product The Impulsive Buy will review. The product election also allows me to get rid of a lot of empty boxes and bottles of stuff I’ve been meaning to review, but have been too lazy to.

Usually these product elections consists of two or three products. However, this one will be the biggest product election ever in the long, nine-month history of The Impulsive Buy.

In this election, you will be able to choose from FIVE candidates:

1. White Castle Microwaveable Cheeseburgers

2. Red Baron Carb Works French Bread Pizza

3. Cheer Dark Laundry Detergent

4. Glaceau Revive Vitamin Water

5. Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts

Like every election – well, almost every election – the candidate with the most votes will be declared the winner. The winner will be reviewed and the other candidates will be thrown in the trash or recycled.

If there is a tie, I am screwed.

To vote, just leave a comment for this post with your choice. Or you can email me with your choice in the subject line. Only one choice and vote per person.

I’ll be accepting votes until Sunday, May 1st. Sometime shortly after that, I’ll post the review of the winning product.

Now go vote like it’s Iraq in 2005.

  1. Being a laundy-aholic I want you to review #3, the Cheer Dark Laundry Detergent. And if there IS a tie….eat some of the cheeseburgers, pizza, vitamin water and pop tarts, spill some on your dark clothes and then WASH them with the Cheer 🙂

  2. I vote for

3.) the laundry detergent. I think that would make for a very interesting review.

p.s. i think white castle burgers taste like crap, though i greatly enjoyed the cheesy movie Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.

  3. Cinnamon Roll Pop Tarts–could be good, or could be entirely too full of sugar. Either way, you can’t lose! 😀

And besides, I am deeply afraid of microwaveable White Castle Burgers. Something is very very wrong about that.

  4. My vote goes to…. The Pop Tarts. They seem to have the best of my interests in mind. The white castle burgers and that low carb pizza don’t seem to be well prepared for your reviewing needs.

  5. 1. White Castle CheeBurgs (i had those pop tarts and as much as i love pop tarts, the cinnamon roll flavor sucks)

  6. I vote White Castle all the way! I mean come on… vitamin water? And low-carb pizza??? I think we all know how tasty those products would be!

  7. I vote for:
    3. Cheer Dark Laundry Detergent

I’m really interested in laundry. I fear White Castle might win.

  8. Because I am such a fan of White Castle I will have to vote for White Castle. I think they will probably suck becuase the only way to eat them is when they are hot. But you never know they could be suprisingly good!!! I think I might have to go there for lunch today. Do you have White Castle where you live?

  9. Yes, White Castle seems to be in the lead; yet, there have been many burger and pop-tart reviews here already; the world needs NO more carb-smart ANYthings; and the Cheer Dark just seems like an empty marketing ploy; so I’m voting for the vitamin water. Hey, if I can get my vitamins in an easy drinkable form, I’m all for it, but golly, I’ll let YOU taste the stuff to see if it’s actually drinkable! If you don’t review it, then send the bottle to me 🙂

  10. Go for the Cheer Dark Laundry Detergent. I’ve always wondered what laundry detergent tastes like; now’s my chance to find out, at your expense!

  11. I think the White Castle would be interesting if you’ve ever been unfortunate enough to be subjected to ACTUAL White Castle burgers. And seriously, Marvo, I hope you order a salad once in a while to counteract all the atrocities you’ve committed against your gastrointestinal system.

  12. Vitamin Water, Ha!

No, I’ve actually had the Dragonfruit flavor of that stuff and it’s pretty good, so it’d be interesting to see what this one was like, but it’ll never win. So I guess I”m out the $1.50 myself if I want to know.

  13. Hands down, do the White Castle Microwaveable Cheeseburgers.

I have been wanting to try and review these buggahs for awhile but just haven’t got around to it. I keep seeing White Castle hamburgers on the Food Network…

  14. Since you’re recovering from the Olean chips, and White Castle burgers aren’t known as Rectum Rockets for no good reason, I’ll vote for the Pop Tarts just to save you some further intenstinal distress.

If you DO go with the burgers, perhaps your follow up review should be for Immodium Extra Strength…

  15. White Castle. I’ve been curious about those for months, but was always too chicken to buy them. So I vote to subject you to them first. Happy eating!

  16. I’ll save you some time. The Cinnamon Roll Pop Tarts be good! There.

I vote for the Cheer Dark Laundry Detergent, since most of my clothing is dark.

    Thank you.

  17. I vote for White Castle Cheeseburgers, as they seem the most likely item to reach gut-twisting, possibly Geneva-convention-violating depths of awfulness. Let me see if I understand: the market for this product is people who want to enjoy the White Castle experience — at home? Including the postgame football team’s laundry-hamper smell? Maybe they’re good to have around, in case you get too stoned to hit the drive-thru.

  18. WHITE CASTLE!!! Oh how I miss them so. Since leaving New York for Floriduh I have missed their steamy goodness. All we have here is Krystal, which is close but no cigar – although the aftereffects are the same!

  19. Pop Tarts. I am always wasting my money on unappealing new flavors of Pop Tarts, so I need you to waste your money on them instead. 🙂

  20. *secretly slips marvo a $10* you’ll make sure the white castle cheeseburgers win right? … good

  21. I’m voting for the White Castle burgers. White Castle is pretty bad but I’d like to see your take on it.

  22. You should do the White Castle burgers, And I will give you the special instructions for nuking them, for maximum tastiness.

  23. How can you not review the biggest penis in the fast food world? Albeit a frozen, slightly shriveled penis possibly suffering from shrinkage, it is still the biggest penis around. White Castle!

  24. Give me CHEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Go for the nasty WATER. I bought it once. By mistake. Once you review it, you may haveto go upgrade the previous flavored/vitamined waters if you grade on a curve. Because i just refuse to believe that any drink could possibly be nastier than this one.

  26. I vote for Cheer Dark.

I’ve been using Cheer Dark to wash my jeans and navy-colored shirts. It’s a great product. My jeans haven’t faded at all in several months. Wash your jeans in cold water with Cheer Dark and dry on a very low setting or air dry, and your jeans will last for much, much longer.

  27. It must be the Pop Tarts. The White Castle cheeseburgers taste like White Castle cheeseburgers, trust me. There must be no more low carb suffering on this site. Vitamin Water is creepy. And I bet that Cheer tastes like ass. Go for the Pop Tarts.

  28. White Castle! Oh how I love those little bits of hamburger goodness. The frozen ones are decent, but do not compare to a fresh White Castle, hot off the steam grill and it’s bed of onions. I don’t remember seeing a White Castle when I was in Hawaii…I think it’s more of a Midwest delicacy so you MUST try them!

  29. The Pop Tarts. Never had anything from White Castle, they scare me. There’s only so much of a sacrifice I’m willing to ask from my pseudo-review bloggers.

  30. I vote for cheer dark. There is only one other product of its kind (woolite style) so there is a semi-need for it. Also ill make sure it stays by purchasing mass quantities since all i wear is dark clothes

  31. Was originally going to go with the White Castles. But considering your recent adventures in gastronomy, plus WC is going to win anyway, I’ll put in a vote for Cheer. Seeing as the other 5 items are (or claim to be) food items, I suspect you were going to chug it down.

  32. Wow – nothing like an election to bring out the lurkers!

I actually find the Vitamin Water quite tasty and light – it’s a good hangover helper too.

I’ll throw my hat in for the Cheer though, just to see if it’s really worth it or just a marketing gimic.
