NEWS: Dunkin’ Donuts Hopes To Have America Running On The 580 Calories Their New Big N’ Toasty Provides

Update: Click here to read our Dunkin’ Donuts Big N’ Toasty review

According to Dunkin’ Donuts, their new Big N’ Toasty breakfast sandwich is their biggest one ever. But I’m sure Dunkin’ Donut Devotees, who love Dunkin’s coffee as much as I love the polka medleys on Weird Al Yankovic albums, would probably prefer Dunkin’ release their biggest hot coffee cup ever. Perhaps a 32-ounce cup of hot coffee to dwarf their 24-ounce extra large size?

The biggest breakfast sandwich that Dunkin’ Donuts has ever released is made up of two peppered fried eggs, four slices of Cherrywood smoked bacon, and a slice of American cheese in between two slices of Texas Toast.

The Big N’ Toasty contains 580 calories, 320 calories from fat 35 grams of fat, 11 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 125 milligrams of cholesterol, 1370 milligrams of sodium, 41 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 26 grams of protein. The sandwich is available for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ Donuts and has a suggested retail price of $3.29.

  1. Is McDonald’s okay with that name? Sounds oddly close to the ol’ Big N’ Tasty.

  2. The thing I never understand about sandwiches like this is that they sound like they’d be incredibly easy and cheap to make at home. There’s nothing special about it so why bother paying someone else to make a meal you could put together in 15 minutes? By the time you drive to Dunkin’ Donuts, wait in line, and pay, you’ve probably burned up as much time as that and you have complete control over the choice of ingredients (including swapping in better cheese than American).

Have I lived overseas too long and become hopelessly out of touch with fast food culture in America? Do I sound like a crazy grandma now?!

  3. My mother works in a Dunkin Donuts, so I got to be the taste tester of this sandwich, and I have to say it is good. It is a bit salty for my tastes, but I can live. Unfortunately, like most Dunking Donuts sandwiches, I don’t see this selling well because of the price point. Lowering it to $2 even would probably entice more people. And you can get it with ham or sausage also, but I’m not sure if that changes the price.

  4. OMG This sandwich is aaaaahmazing! It’s big enough and really filling. The price is not so bad, considering how this would be a decent sized breakfast or lunch meal that doesn’t leave me hungry in an hour. I had it with bacon and ham and I loved both of them! (just not a fan of sausage in general) My husband and I have been eating these sandwiches for 3 days in a row lol. I kinda wish they became permanent because they are really really good

  5. OMG I’m so mad that Julia took the “Food Blog Comment Shill” position with DD! I was sooo hoping I’d get it! I swear I would have been awesome at pretending to be a real person who loves their soulless nutritionless tasteless food-like-products!

Oh well, at least Kraft is still hiring blog comment shills to pimp that gag-inducing tub of crap they call “Philadelphia Cooking Creme,” maybe they’ll hook me up with some work.

  6. I paid $4.29 for this thing (I didn’t check the price beforehand, but this was total sticker-shock) and it was not worth that price. It was tasty, but kind of gave me a grease hangover. The Texas toast is very buttery, but I don’t think it’s actually coated with butter. There really isn’t much difference between this and and an egg-and-cheese on a croissant, which is a lot cheaper. The only difference is that the croissant is soft and the Texas Toast is crunchy. I think I actually prefer the croissant.
