Update 2: Click here to read our Wrigley’s 5 Swerve review

Sometimes I wonder if Wrigley’s 5 Gum should change its name to I Thought I Told You That We Won’t Stop because the chewing gum line, which is marketed to teens, keeps expanding like my waistline has over the past seven years The Impulsive Buy has been around.

If you don’t know the 5 Gum flavors, let me fill your grey matter with a useless list that may write over some of your precious childhood memories: Cobalt, Flare, Rain, Elixir, Lush, Solstice, Zing, React Fruit, React Mint, Prism, Vortex, React 2 Fruit, and React 2 Mint. Oh wait, let me write over your memory of your first kiss with the next 5 Gum flavor, a tropical one called Swerve.

When Swerve becomes available later this year, it will be the second tropical flavor in the 5 Gum line, following Lush.

Also later this year, Wrigley will be adding Apple Pie to its portfolio of Extra Dessert Delights sugarfree gum. The flavor follows Strawberry Shortcake, Mint Chocolate Chip, Key Lime Pie, and Orange Creme Pop.

Come on, Wrigley! Stop ruining desserts for me! If I want to eat poor representations of desserts I’ll go to McDonald’s or make the desserts myself.

Both sugarfree gum flavors will come in the usual 15-piece slim pack.

  1. Chewing Key Lime Pie Extra dessert gum right now. It’s darn good stuff! Apple pie is coming, you say? My son’s going to go cuckoo for that…

  2. I’m lucky to live next to a Wrigley’s regional manager and get to taste most of the gums before release. The Apple Pie puts their other dessert delights to shame. Pretty authentic flavor and it lasts forever. I’m happy to mail you a pack if you want to give it a try!

    1. I would LOVE a pack or two if you could spare it! I’m a fitness competitor and these amazing dessert delights gum flavors keep my diet on track! lol We don’t have them in Canada, so I have to travel to the U.S to bring some home! And trust me…I stock up! Apple pie? Would love some! Thanks so much!

    2. if u are still able to send out a pac or two of the apple pie, plz let me know! like one of the other repliers, i am a bodybuilder and the other flavors have been responsible on many occassions for preventing me blowing my diet.. lol!! want to try the new flavor soooo bad!!! let me knof if u can still so this- i went to their website and there is no such offer.. thanku!!

    3. I am so jealous. I would love to live near the Wrig factory. This flavor is amazing and the flavor does last and so does the smell of fresh baked apple pie. Like another poster said it really helps with dieting.

  3. You get so many different gum flavours in the US, im so jealous! We only have 3 5 flavurs over here :(. Would love to try Apple Pie too!

    1. This was the 1st time I’ve seen it in my state and I only found it over the weekend. So I think it’s still fairly new.

  4. Call me old fashioned but I’d rather pay a quarter for a pack of Juicy Fruit or some…Teaberry, do they still make that anymore? I hate how gums try to be mysterious and serious. It’s gum. Flare, elixir, blah, all of them.

  5. I LOVEEEEEE these! My favorite is the chocolate mint ice cream. The new apple pie is interesting…at first it reminded me of an apple pie candle at the Yankee candle store, but after my second piece, I decided it tastes delish!!!! I kinda think the color should be a light brown, and not green, but whatever works for marketing… Not a fan of the orange creme pop…kinda generic. My dream flavor…Banana’s Foster! Mmmmmmmmm

    1. I thought it was kind of weird that it was green too. I guess for the grany smith..aka baking apples. I love it because I am not big on eating pie because I do not like pie crust.

  6. Best gum ever!!! It’s new and hard to find so I am trying my best not to devour the entire pack. The flavor lasts and so does the smell of apple pie. The only time I have spat the gum out was when I didn’t feel like chewing gum anymore. Great job Wrigley!
