PRIZE DRAWING: Because I Love Target, Even Though They Have Slightly Higher Prices Than Other Big-Box Stores

Target has plastic carts

I go to Target a lot.

I know my nearest Target store so well that you could tell me a product to find, blindfold me, and I’ll bring that product to you within 10 minutes, while causing hundreds of dollars in damages and probably accidental groping as my hands feel what’s in front of me.

I have a deep fondness for Target because I can almost always find something new to review, I love their clearance shelves, and they have sexy, curvy red carts. Sure, Target is a little pricer than other big-box stores, but it’s the only place I can buy Hello Kitty Duct Tape.

So to celebrate my love of Target, The Impulsive Buy will be giving away a $25 Target gift card to one lucky reader.

To enter The Impulsive Buy’s Target gift card drawing, leave a comment with THIS post. I don’t care what you say in your comment, but it would be nice if you tried to convince me I’m wrong about Target by saying something bad about it or support my belief that Target is 1,000,000 times better than Kmart.

Please don’t forget to fill out the email field because I’ll be emailing the winner for his or her mailing address. The Impulsive Buy will stop accepting entries on Friday, October 28, 2011 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. Only one comment allowed per person, and it’s only open to U.S. residents who are at least 18 years old.

For those of you who have a Twitter account, you can get an additional entry by tweeting the following by Friday, October 28, 2011 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time:

@theimpulsivebuy I wonder if Kmart stores dream about being Target stores.

So just copy, paste, and tweet. Only one tweet per Twitter account.

Good luck!

Fine Print: Target is not affiliated with this prize drawing. The Impulsive Buy promises your email address will not be used to send you email asking if you’d like female enhancement. The Impulsive Buy also promises your mailing address will not be used to send you AARP mailings. Bribes will not be accepted. 1. I wanna dip my balls in THIS post as well! In fact, I think Louie would want to dip his balls in all the Targets. :o)

  2. My mom works at Walmart, so naturally we don’t get to Target that often. It’s a shame too, because the Target here in town is far superior to Walmart: freshly renovated in warm colors as opposed to the sterile (they call it “sleek”) blue and white of Walmart, filled with usually helpful employees. Not to mention they’re the only place in town that carries twelve-can packs of Mountain Dew’s limited edition varieties like Pitch Black and Game Fuel.

  3. OK, I can bad mouth Target. Would it kill Target to carry 5W30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil? I had to make two trips sonsofbishes.

  4. Good produce and a decent price. Nice and bright–and the shelves are usually stocked unlike our other big box.

  5. I feel like target is so artificial, it’s weird. I like it and all, but the way the store feels, and looks, the way they package some stuff…I feel like I’m in some plastic landscape barbie wonderland.

  6. I’m glad Target isn’t open 24 hours for 2 reasons:
    1. I’d be broke for spending money there at 2am on something I clearly didn’t need earlier in the day.
    2. It keeps the riff-raff at Walmart.

  7. One bad thing about Target is that the closest one is 300 miles away!!! I love how they have a different variety. And Kmart…. wow… I can’t believe they are still open in some places (they all closed in Alaska a long time ago).

  8. Target is great, the only thing that is missing is the pure entertainment you get by shopping at Walmart.

  9. I love Target! Best place ever, especially since our local one just got groceries. I also love The Impulsive Buy. Where else can I find out what products rock and which ones suck!? 🙂

  10. The only bad thing I have to say is that their awesome product selection makes it way too easy to too much money each time I shop there!! 🙂

  11. Target has to be the BEST place to shop. It has every department you ever need AND their clothes are really decent!

  12. Um, I end up going to WalMart all the time only because it is closer to my house but I do like Target a lot better.

  13. I can’t ever leave without looking through the little $1 section in the entry. I also love that I can get my Starbucks and shop!

  14. Target is great, especially because they have awesome internet coupons! (which I then use at walmart…)

  15. Target’s popcorn is 1/4 of the price and 100% better-tasting than the local movie theater’s. Yet another reason why Target rocks! (I’m a little embarrassed that we go there so often that random workers–not people we know personally!– sometimes see me looking for my husband and tell me which section he’s in.)

  16. I can’t even with Kmart. The only nice ones I’ve seen are the ones in toursity parts of NYC. Target is #1, my favorite store. I personally think they are sometimes cheaper than Wal-Mart

  17. Target asks to use your restroom, then takes a piss with the toilet seat down.

  18. Target is amazing. They are the only store that sells pizza goldfish–not their Flavor Blasted Xplosion Pizza goldfish, which are far inferior–but original pizza goldfish. For that, and for many other reasons too numerous to mention, Target rules.

  19. Target is awesome. Kmart is an embarrassment. And honestly there are some products that are consistently cheaper at Target than at other stores! (I always buy tuna at target. Even when not on sale, their fresh packs of tuna or whatever they’re called are a good price.)

  20. I WANT to like Target…but somehow, every time I walk into one of their stores, I just SEE RED!!!!!!!

  21. Target is definitely my crack. I don’t know how they do it, but I go there determined to only spend $5 on my eye makeup remover, but leave the store with at least $60 of stuff.

  22. My experience tells me that Target is not more expensive. My grocery bills between Super Wally and SuperTarget are a wash. Some things are cheaper at Target, some are cheaper at walmart!

  23. Our Target recently got an upgrade, but really they just added a few more shelves of groceries and some apples and cheese. LAME! I would NEVR get groceries at Target. Who does that??
