PRIZE DRAWING: Because I Want One of You To Eat Fresh

Subway Buffalo Chicken

In February, Subway will bring back their “any regular footlong for $5” promotion. So I think this month would be a good time to give away a $25 Subway gift card.

If my math is correct, you can get five $5 Subway footlongs with a $25 gift card. Unless you live on this rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, where you can only get four footlongs because we pay six dollars.

To enter The Impulsive Buy’s Subway gift card drawing, leave a comment with THIS post. I don’t care what you say in your comment, but it would be nice if you described completely your go-to Subway sandwich (i.e. type of bread, what veggies and sauce you put on, whether you get it toasted).

Please don’t forget to fill out the email field because I’ll be emailing the winner for his or her mailing address. The Impulsive Buy will stop accepting entries on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. Only one comment allowed per person, and it’s only open to U.S. residents who are at least 18 years old.

For those of you who have a Twitter account, you can get an additional entry by tweeting the following by Tuesday, January 31, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time:

@theimpulsivebuy If Subway is where winners eat, I need to win a Subway gift card so I can eat there.

So just copy, paste, and tweet. Only one tweet per Twitter account.

Good luck!

Fine Print: Subway is not affiliated with this prize drawing. The Impulsive Buy promises your email address will not be used to send you emails about how you can save money on TurboTax. The Impulsive Buy also promises your mailing address will not be used to send you ValPak coupons or Valtrex coupons. Bribes will not be accepted. 1. Straight-up 90s style cold cut combo on honey wheat with no mayo, extra mustard and sweet sauce and extra jalapenos.

  2. I love a 6 inch veggie on Italian bread, with lettuce, American cheese, and ranch. I like it almost as much as the impulsive buy:)

  3. start off with a subway club, on honey oat (omega 3 please!) bread. then add shredded cheese, but don’t toast it! followed by spinach, cucumbers, pickles, peppers, onions & avocado. last, add some salt & pepper, with LOTS of chipotle sauce. i mean, so much sauce. you want it all over by the time you’re done eating! then, get healthy with a water, and some jalepeno chips. combos for the WIN.

  4. My usual sandwich is turkey on wheat with chipotle sauce and lettuce, cucumber, and onion.
    Thanks!

  5. I love the chicken bacon ranch sub. However on this sub i dont get the ranch. I get the shredded cheese melted. I put tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and onions. At the end, the sauces I get are sweet onion sauce and honey mustard sauce. So good.

  6. I either get a turkey sub or a Spicy Italian on white with tomatoes, pickles, black olives, banana peppers, light mayo and vinegar.

  7. Favorite is veggie patty on wheat, no cheese, with lettuce, tomato, onion, bell pepper, pepperoncini, spinach and black olives. No dressing, no sauce. Boom.

  8. Italian BMT on Italian herbs and cheese bread, not toasted. Lettuce, onion, pickles, cucumber, tomatoes, and Chipotle sauce!

  9. I always get the black forest ham on 9 grain whole wheat with olives, light mayo, green peppers, onions, lettuce, and cheese if I’m feeling fancy. No toasting though. Ew.

  10. Give me a honey oat turkey sandwich with spinach, maybe cheese, maybe not, tomatoes, black olives – extra please!, pickles, cucumbers, red onion, honey mustard, and some oregano so I feel fancy.

  11. I love Subway! It doesn’t matter what I order because I get just about all of the fixin’s. Thanks!

  12. I like a pretty basic sandwich-a BMT on flatbread, toasted. I ask for the lettuce and dressing on the side, then put it on when I get home.

    Who wants hot lettuce?

  13. I am slightly obsessed with Subway. I love their breakfast (western egg and cheese) and also the meatball! YUM! I sure hope I win!

  14. I always get a foot-long veggie sub on wheat, all the vegetables except black olives (extra pickles, onions, and jalapenos), with spicy mustard. no cheese. untoasted.

  15. Chicken breast on honey oat. Monterey jack, toasted. Tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers. Southwest sauce.

  16. My trusty fave is a toasted Spicy Italian, and on Honey Oat bread, it also makes a great sandwich. 😉

  17. I often get roasted chicken and provolone on Italian herb and cheese, toasted.

    No veggies because I’m allergic!

  18. Whatever bread they have (they’re always out of the ONE I decide I want).
Teriyaki Sweet Onion Chicken, grilled with provolone (if they have it, or cheddar). Onions, green peppers, a little lettuce.

Or straight turkey, mustard, bunch o’veggies, and cheddar.

  19. Italian BMT on italian herbs and cheese. Lettuce, tomato, onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, Dijon mustard, and pickles on half. The pickles are critical!

  20. Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Hearty Italian, Pepper Jack Cheese, Toasted, with Spinach, Onions, Green Peppers, Cucumbers, and Red Peppers Seeds. Delicious!

  21. My go-to sub is the Subway Club on Italian Herb and Cheese and then I have them put on onions and grill it. Then, a little lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, pickles and a lot of olives. Then they finish it off with a lot of mayo and some pepper (skip the salt). Yummmmmmmyyyyyy!!!

  22. I do love Subway. If I’m behaving myself I’ll order roasted chicken breast on wheat, no cheese, tomatoes and spinach only. On the other hand, I do like their meatball marinara subs… probably the worst thing on their menu.

  23. It’s gotta be the Big Philly Cheese Steak on italian bread with american cheese, green peppers, red onions, salt and pepper, and a little bit of southwest chipotle sauce.

  24. I usually have a tuna sub, toasted, with spinach, provolone, green peppers, sweet onion sauce, and mayo, all on Italian Herb and Cheese.

  25. Hmmm I do love the breakfast sandwiches… wish you could order them all day!! My favorite “regular” sandwiches are the BLT and the oven roasted chicken.

  26. I don’t want to leave a comment about Subway. I’d rather leave a comment about Dunkin Donuts, and how they are a ripoff. Ok, that’s all.

  27. 9 times out of 10 I’m at Subway for their breakfast:
Six inch flat bread with half an egg white “patty,” bacon and cheddar cheese, toasted, with tomato, spinach, cucumber, olives and mustard.
For lunch or dinner it’s turkey on wheat with basically the same stuff, unless I’m there because I’m broke and ordering a foot long cold cut combo for five bucks makes a decent two meals.

  28. I’m all about the veggies… I like the Veggie Delite (usually on wheat bread, but all of their breads are good) loaded up with as many vegetables as possible (I especially like extra tomatoes and banana peppers). My only complaint is that you can’t get mushrooms on a Subway sandwich.

  29. I get 6 inch wheat – turkey double meat, lettuce , tomato, onion, pickles, green peppers, sweet peppers, jalapenos. salt and pepper with honey mustard

  30. 6″ Subway Melt on whole wheat with hot pepper jack cheese, toasted, honey mustard dressing, lettuce, tomato and onion. YUM!

  31. BMT on italian herbs bread, toasted with provolone or american cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

  32. My go-to Subway: turkey, egg, pepper jack cheese, honey mustard sauce, spinach, lettuce, tomato, black pepper, green bell peppers. In toasted honey oat bread. Mmmm, sooooo good.

  33. BMT, toasted, Asiago cheese bread when available, pepper jack cheese with jalapenos, olives, and chipltle ranch sauce – I know, I know it’s a cultural trainwreck but tastes GREAT!

  34. 6 inch Italian BMT
    Parmesan Oregano bread
Lettuce, tomatoes cucumbers, olives, red onions and lots of banana peppers
    Sweet onion sauce
    toasted

  35. Mama mia, ‘at’sa Spicy Italian. Except the reason I like the Spicy Italian so much is that it’s not TOO Spicy. And it introduced me to putting Pepperoni in a sandwich (Pepperoni, it’s not just for pizza anymore), which I enjoy so much, it has almost replaced bacon in my sandwich applications (except with Turkey, that’s just silly). Yes, I know preferring ANYTHING to bacon under ANY circumstances is considered heretical on the Internet, so as long as I’m alienating web-based people let me say that I also prefer dogs to cats, Bizzaro to The Far Side and Babylon 5 to Firefly/Serenity. Also Jack in the Box Tacos are the ultimate 3AM cheap munch here on the west coast which is why White Castle doesn’t dare have any locations here.

  36. Veggie, with lots and LOTS of pickles. And some white cheese or other. On wheat bread, but that’s because they never have the wrap option when I’m there.

  37. I usually get an Oven-Roasted Chicken Breast on Italian with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Then I top it with Ranch. I need to step outside my comfort zone and try some others.

  38. Always get the turkey breast on honey oat with provolone, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers and honey mustard. Can’t go wrong with that!

  39. Nothing better than a turkey footlong on wheat, light mayo, two slices of American cheese, two slices of cheddar, and so much lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and jalapeno peppers that the friendly, cute Subway girl has trouble closing up my concoction of absolute awesomeness! Got her number, too!

  40. A Veggie Delight on Monterey Cheddar with Pepper Jack, Lettuce, Tomato, Spinach, Cucumber, Banana Pepper and Honey Mustard.

  41. Mmm, Subway. I tend to go for a six-inch Spicy Italian on white, with cheese, lettuce, black olives, oil, vinegar and oregano. Cannot go wrong with that one!

  42. Plain and simple the only reason I have for eating fresh is for the bag of doritos! My go to sandwich is 9 grain wheat, turkey, white american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

  43. Mine’s a garden burger/veggie max/whatever they call it, toasted on Parmesan oregano, w/ swiss or provolone cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, banana peppers (or if they have it in my region, giardiniera). Onions sometimes, if i’m not going anywhere, but lately i find raw onion to be a bit strong.

  44. I enjoy the spicy italian on jalapeno cheddar bread, not toasted. All the veggies plus jalapenos and peperochinis and brown mustard..

  45. I love the ham and turkey with pepperjack cheese on wheat, toasted. Lots of pickles and peppers!

  46. My go to sandwich is roast beef on Italian herbs and cheese with onions, cilantro, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, mayo, pepper, and oregano.

  47. Hmmm, turkey and ham on wheat with provolone, lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers, and vinegar. I haven’t been there in quite a while though, so I might be motivated by new offerings to switch things up.

  48. Super simple and healthy…

A 6 inch whole wheat sub with turkey, ham, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, red onion, olives, salt, pepper, olive & vinegar. Done.

  49. Ooh, I wanna win. My go-to is ALWAYS on italian herb and cheese. Usually turkey with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, lots of black olives, and oil and vinegar. Sometimes an italian BMT. Sometimes I’ll get light mayo or honey mustard or ranch or chipotle southwest sauce to change it up. And their breakfast isn’t terrible either. Okay now GIMME! Please.

  50. Tuna, ranch sauce, parmesan, tomatoes, red onions, spinach, and banana peppers on Italian Herbs and Cheese.

  51. I prefer my Subway sandwich topped with four other sandwiches. As you might imagine, this diet can get quite expensive, so please ImpulsiveBuy, help me out here.

  52. My favorite is a veggie(not toasted) with pepperjack cheese, honey mustard dressing, spinach, carrots, red onion, black olives, sliced pickles, banana peppers, sweet peppers, and cucumbers. Mmmm…think I might get this for lunch soon!

Oops forgot to add the bread – usually the italian, sometimes the honey wheat!

  53. Call me traditional, but I like turkey on wheat, American, toasted and loaded with all the veggies. Plus a little mustard. I am a fan of their egg white English muffins too!

  54. Footlong Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on White. Toasted. Provalone Cheese. Green Peppers, Lettuce, Mayo, Sweet Onion Sauce!

  55. Varied sorts of bread with their meh cheeses toasted onto it — lettuce — “LOTS and LOTS of tomatoes, please, and LOTS of green peppers” — lettuce — onion — hot banana peppers — salt — pepper — mayo — probably the onion-ish vinaigrette sub sauce — “Can I get just a few more tomatoes, please?”

  56. My friend used to work at Subway in the early 90’s. They could give away anything except bread, that was strictly accounted for. Bring your own bread, and you feasted. Until he got fired for giving away food.

  57. When I go to Subway, I love ordering roast beef with swiss cheese and lots of various veggies all on toasted wheat bread.
    Yum!

  58. It goes like this: Wheat Bread with Turkey and Ham. Top that with provolone and toast. Veggies: Cucumber, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, 2x Jalepenos, Green Peppers and hot pepper relish if available.

  59. Italian herbs and cheese, meatball. Pepper jack cheese, pickles, mayo, oregano, black pepper, parmesan, oil and vinegar not toasted. Bam.

  60. Turkey Jalapeno Melt with Italian herbs and cheese, Pepper Jack cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, EXTRA red onions, jalapenos and covered in Chipotle Southwest sauce. Yummy 🙂

  61. Honey wheat, turkey, no toast. Jalapenos pickles dark mustard onion cucumber spinach. Old faithful for me.

  62. footlong wheat chicken breast toasted w/ avocado, lettuce, spinach, tomato, chipotle mayo, SnP

    BOOM!

  63. whats the deal with subway? i try to order they make it impossible, went in asked for the philly cheesesteak. they asked me “what kind of cheese do you want” so i said “whatever it comes with”. they told me “we go by what the customer wants”. all i wanted was the cheesesteak on the menu how am i supposed to know what kind of cheese is on it. the girl couldn’t even tell me what kind of cheese is in the one on their picture. this happends every time i go. if i knew the ingredients i would be at home making my own cheesesteak.

  64. I love plain and simple. I always get their oven roasted chicken 12″ with every cheese except pepperjack and nothing else. I get Italian herbs and cheese bread. Its amazing how eating simple can help you lose weight too. I ate this for lunch everyday for 2 weeks and lost nearly 15 pounds. Subway rocks!

  65. It’s chicken breast sub on toasted wheat bread with light lettuce, cucumbers, salt and pepper and light mayo. Ohhh yeaaah.

  66. I get the Veggie Supreme sub: bell peppers, red onions, tomatoes, mozzarella, untoasted on flatbread, with a healthy vinaigrette.

I’m totally kidding. I indulge in the Philly Cheesesteak because at this time, this has become a college-budget staple and I must satisfy my hunger for profane, refrigerated pseudo-meat and melted provolone. With mayo and toasted Italian Herbs and Cheese bread, of course; there’s no skimping here. I want it all.

I am surprised I do not have gout. Yet.

  67. For the usual sandwich

Turkey Breast on Monteray Cheddar, toasted.
Ranch and everything but pickles, banana peppers, and jalapenos.

  68. oh man….there are tooo many combos for me to list here! all I can say is when its toasted, it has cheese, other wise lettuce and tomato. always onions and pickles and maybe olives. usually turkey or chicken, sometimes tuna or italian, bacon when i want it, whatever bread i feel like

  69. well im currently on a no carb diet so ill tell you what i normally get! Its a seafood sensation on italian herb and cheese with american cheese cucumbers pickles blk olives oregano and the sweet onion sauce. . . but since I cant have carbs/sugars ill prolly get a pastrami melt with bacon and pepperoni loaded with veggies and ill either take it off the bun or ill make it a salad

  70. my fave sandwich is
toasted wheat roll with every veggie they have love the flavors and with some that crispy pork bacon and and buffalo chicken strips cause i like it hot lol 🙂
salty hot and veggie is a fave combo of mine

  71. I live in the middle of nowhere and even we have a Subway, so this is a gift card I’d actually be able to use!

  73. Regular Italian bread, footlong, steak, provolone, red onions (get all this toasted) then add the southwest sauce

  74. My go-to is the meatball on wheat with shredded moz and parmasian, toasted, with tomatoes. Now I’m hungry….

  75. I’ve only ever gotten one thing at Subway, I like it so much there’s no need to try anything else: Cold Cut Trio on asiago bread, light lettuce, pickles and mayo. That’s it, nothing else on the sandwich.

  76. I always get a 6″ turkey on whole wheat with spicy mustard, spinach, tomato, cucumber, tomatoes…ok it would just be easier to say every veggie except black olives.

  77. Black forest ham, honey oat bread, toasted, american cheese, all the veggies possible, mustard.

  78. 6 inch Cold Cut Combo on whole wheat. Amer Cheese, Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, black pepper and parmasean cheese. No toast.

  79. My usual is a Spicy Italian on white, sometimes toasted but usually not. Provolone cheese, all vegetables except spinach (why is it even therrrrree?) Used to have it with a ton of creamy Italian dressing but they discontinued it so now mayo, Dijon mustard and oil and vinegar. Extra pickles!

  80. Veggie on wheat bread, provolone cheese, tiny bit of mustard (but even though I always say TINY, they spray it on there like it’s going out of style) and all the veggies except banana peppers.

  82. Turkey on Italian, every vegetable (except spinach instead of lettuce), oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and oregano 🙂

  83. I love a grilled chicken sub sandwich on wheat with every vegetable they have – extra lettuce! 🙂

  84. Subway Club on Italian bread, American cheese, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard/honey mustard, black pepper. Great, now I have to go get one.

  86. Meatball on italian herb & cheese, with provolone and red onion, toasted. Or, tuna salad on a random choice of bread, provolone cheese, toasted, with red onions, mayo, lettuce, pickles, and some sort of sauce.

The personal pizzas are good too.

  87. I don’t much like their sandwiches and almost all subway stores kind of have this stinky smell, but am never the one to say no to free food, so there you go.

  88. I suddenly have a craving for Subway. To be fair, I find that almost all of their sandwiches taste exactly the same, so I’d be hard-pressed to answer the “what is your favorite” question because they all taste the same to me.

  89. Subway Club on honey wheat with swiss cheese. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, light onion, olives, and lite mayo on the side because I take it to work and don’t want it to get soggy!

  90. I love the Seafood and Crab on the Honey Oat. Still, I’m perplexed at the name–All crab IS seafood but not all seafood is crab, yet the mystery remains as to what seafood is considered seafood in the Seafood and Crab. Then I realize I’m overthinking everything and just eat it.

  91. Wheat bread, veggie patty, pepperjack cheese (double if I can convince my husband to forego it and the “sandwich artist” to put his forfeited cheese on my half)
Microwave the veggie patty before putting it on the bread and then toast the whole thing.
Add spinach, green peppers, and cucumbers.

  92. I get the Italian bmt: honey oat bread, toasted, peppers, olives, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and light mayo. delicious!

  93. Footlong BMT on white, double meat, american and provolone, and bacon. Lettuce, tomato, peppers, onions, olives.

  102. My go to sandwich involves their breakfast! I don’t know why, but their “eggs” are pretty tasty!

  103. I usually get tuna or ham with honey oat with lettuce and tomatoes. Love their honey oat bread. But if I win this $25 gift cards, I’m gonna try something else.

  104. I can’t recall the last time I went to subway, All the toppings get me all discombobulated. But I’m welling to give it a go if I win. 🙂

  107. Hands down my fresh eats at Subway:

    6 in Wheat Subway Club
    No Cheese, please
    Yellow mustard
lettuce, tomato, pickles, black olives & banana peppers
Little shake of salt & pepper

    bam! goodness 🙂

  108. I haven’t been to subway in ages. I used to get the sweet onion chicken teriyaki, on honey wheat or the parmesan oregano bread, with the bread toasted separately from the chicken being microwaved. Then I got nearly all of the veggies, parmesan cheese, and sweet onion sauce.

I’d like to try the chicken chipotle.

  109. I could use the gift card, would be a help for lunch during the week. Also favorite sub: Buffalo Chicken on Hearty Wheat with lettuce and pepperjack cheese

  119. I love subway eat it at least once a week. I get the chicken bank ranch with shredded cheese, tomato, onions, greens peppers, olives, and lettuce. sometimes I wil add chipotle sauce and jalapeños.

  120. Can’t wait! The $5 footlong is an ok deal, but half the time I don’t care for the sub that is offered. This any regular sub deal definitely appeals to a much larger audience. I’ll definitely be stopping in more than usual

  121. Parm bread. Chicken. Mayo. Cheese. Olives – that’s not enough, another handful – a real handful, geeze! – fine I’ll pay extra.

And twice as much oregano. NOM!

No drinks, no chips, no extra calories please!
    Love it.

  124. I have gotten the same thing from Subway for years and I never ever tire of it: Footlong Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on toasted honey oat bread, with spinach, lettuce, and extra sweet onion sauce. The wrapper looks like a poppy-seed studded sandwich murder scene when I am done ravaging. I could live inside a bottle of the sweet onion sauce. I could bathe in it. If it were possible to reproduce with a condiment I would gladly be its baby momma. And then eat our baby.

  125. Footlong turkey on white, toasted with pepper jack, with lettuce, tomato, cukes, black olives, banana peppers, jalapenos and southwest chipotle sauce. I can’t get enough of that damn sauce.

Then I get all the vegetables, including peppers but usually light on the jalapenos, plus the (extra-cost) avocado, black pepper, oregano, and vinegar. (Recently I’ve also had the surprisingly-good pastrami: I get that with mustard, pickles, lettuce, and onions. Maybe tomato. Probably will get that again.)

  141. Turkey on wheat with lettuce, tomato, green peppers, banana peppers, vinegar, salt, pepper, and mayo. Man, I love Subway.

  144. My subway fav:

Tuna, provolone, lettuce, olives, mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, on a whole wheat roll. Toasted 😉
Makes my Husband gag:p (he hates tuna)!

  145. First, you gotta get a foot long loaf of Italian Herbs and Cheese and you gotta put some Seafood Sensation on it, DOUBLE MEAT PLEASE!! Don’t toast it, don’t taint the seafoody goodness with cheese, and then put yellow pepper, onions, olives, cucumber, and spinach on it. THERE! PERFECTION.

  146. I recently went vegan to get in shape (it’s a must if you want to burn fat in the laziest way possible) and subway is the only place nearby that I can get vegan food. Usually I get a veggie on wheat, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, green peppers, cucumbers untoasted with honey mustard. Hope I win!

  147. I usually change it up every time I got to Subway, but my roommate always makes me buy her spicy Italians with provolone, tomatoes, lettuce, banana peppers, olive oil, and black pepper. So if I win it will probably go to feed her habit.

  148. I’m preferential to a BLT, on Italian…toasted or not depends on my mood. As for cheese, I usually go with pepperjack, although provolone is nice for an occasional change. Toppings are obviously lettuce and tomato, and for kicks I’ll put green pepper, and occasionally jalapeno on it. Sauce is light mayo is a good slathering of light mayo.
