SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 5/10/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

M&M's Milk Chocolate Bar

These sound so M-Azing. Candy Blog has a review. (Spotted by Cara at Target.)

Snickers & Milky Way Unwrapped Bites

Do you have issues with portion control? Then don’t buy these. (Spotted by Matthew at Walmart.)

Arizona Chocolate Fudge Float

AriZona Beverages has a new and improved Chocolate Fudge Float Soda. To be honest, I didn’t know they had a chocolate soda. I also didn’t know AriZona Beverages is a New York company. (Spotted by Ross at 7-Eleven.)

7 Layer Dip Tortilla Combos

The Combos Baked Snacks 7 Layer Dip Tortilla is made with cheddar cheese, sour cream, avocado, tomato, refried beans, onion, and jalapeño peppers. But if I use a tortilla chip to pick them up, will they cause the chip to break, forcing me to dig through the Combos in order to fish out the part of the chip that snapped off? (Spotted by Lauren at CVS.)

  1. The chocolate fudge soda sounds nasty! I bet this is going be pulled off the shelves soon. It sounds like a watered down fudge sauce.

The unwrapped candies seems to be a rip off from Hershey’s unwrapped bites.

The M&M’s bars seemed like the same m-amazing bar bringing back but we have to see how well it sells.

  2. Breaking news:

Wrigley pulls “Alert gum” due to FDA concerns. It on the news now. What a waste of marketing going through this. I think Wrigley is feeling guilty right now waste of $

  3. Those Snickers Bites look soooooo good…..

Then I notice that they’re unwrapped in the bag. Can you imagine buying them in the summer and end up with a bag of sticky, gooey, melted mess? >:P

    1. You mean just like every other chocolate “bite” that’s out there now? (See: KitKat Bites, Aero Bubbles, Slow pokes, Hersey Bites, Junior Mints, Glosette….)

  4. I’ve tried the MnM bar – it’s pretty durn good. I love MnM minis, and this way I don’t lose them down the front of my shirt.

The Milky Way bits…DANGER. They will not last more than a car ride. Even if it’s just around the corner.

  5. That Arizona can looks like something out of Bioshock Infinite.

…by which I mean to say, I will be buying it.

  6. Why is there no innovation in candy bars anymore? Any “new” product is always a spin-off of an existing product. The last truly new mainstream candy bar I think is the Take 5 bar which was introduced about 10 years ago now.

  7. Tried Combos 7 Layer Dip Tortilla snacks. Really liked these as I am a fan of most Combos varieties. The filling on these is very tasty and the addition of tortilla shell crust gives these a added dimension i have not had in other combos varieties
