SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 1/31/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Limited Edition Jelly Bean Trident Layers

If I want a chewy jelly bean-flavored thing, I’m pretty sure I’d eat jelly beans. (Spotted by Brittany at Target.)

Totino's Bold Limited Edition Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

I’d like to see Totino’s be really bold and make a Party Pizza topped with their Pizza Rolls or an end crust that’s just Pizza Rolls. You’re welcome for the idea, Totino’s. (Spotted by Tori B at Walmart.)

Great American Cookies

I’ve never seen a Great American Cookies store. Are they great cookies? Also, I’d like to mention they have stores in Saudia Arabia, but not here on this rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (Spotted by David at Walmart.)

Red Vines Fruit Vines Bites

Bites, eh? I guess I won’t be using these as soda straws or tying them into knots in my mouth using just my tongue. (Spotted by Michael at Schnucks.)

Lucky Charms Limited Edition 50 Magical Years Cereal

Lucky Charms cereal has been around for 50 straight years, and this limited edition Lucky Charms cereal with green clovers has been around for two straight years. (Spotted by Mike at Giant.)

  1. I really like the Jelly Bean gum. It’s really sweet, but the flavor is good, and it lasts a long time.

Then again, I have new gum flavor addiction issues.

    1. I’m curious about this, since jelly bean is a texture, not a flavor… i mean, there’s a million different jelly bean flavors, no?

  2. the jelly bean gum is ok, but it doesn’t taste anything like a jelly bean. im baffled as to how they even pass it off as that.

    1. One simply does not discount the unique texture of a classic Jelly Bean, unless they use those bittering agents that wilt gum into a nasty glue-like consistency that tastes… Well, Bitter (as I’ve noticed with citrus-flavored gums…).

I know it’s going to be doing this disgusting crap too, so I’m avoiding the flavor :/

  3. The Great American Cookie Stores are in the most of the malls where I live. And they ARE great cookies, but I’m afraid something might get lost in the packaging. At the store, they’re freshly baked and warm. I’ll definitely have to try them to find out, though…and probably nuke them for a few seconds to warm them up.

    1. The sugar cookie variety, which I hold from Great American Cookie Company to be the greatest cookie in production, was just as from the oven at home as they were from teh Mall locales and satellites. Fair point however, the chance of getting a cookie that has been sitting out is higher at the actual store locations as opposed to when one bakes these at home.

  4. Great American cookie is home of the double doozie, the greatest cookie I think I have ever consumed. Seriously, you must try one at least once!!!
