Kellogg's Rice Krispies Blasted S'mores

Kellogg's Rice Krispies Blasted Chocolatey Chip Marshmallow

If Rice Krispies Treats weren’t invented, would there still be Rice Krispies cereal today? (Spotted by Shannon at Wegmans.)

Kellogg's Rice Krispies Crackle Snaps

What about Pop? Why is he left out of the name? Also, which one is Pop? (Spotted by Dubba at Stop & Shop.)

Entenmann's Red Velvet Donuts

Where’s the cream cheese frosting? How can you have red velvet without the cream cheese frosting? That’s no fun, like playing Cards Against Humanity with just two people. (Spotted by Ariana at West Side Market.)

  1. What exactly is the upgrade with the Blasted Ruce Krispies treats? I was about to buy them until it occured to me they might just be rebranded rice krispies treats…

    1. I bought the chocolate chip one. Its just regular rice krispies with chocolate and marshmallow on it. Its kind of disappointing.

  2. Maybe Pop is included via a lame advertising campaign:
“Pop a Rice Krispies Treats Crackle Snaps(tm) in your mouth!”)

  3. Since Rice Krispy Treats are supposed to be glued together with marshmallows, I have to wonder how they got marshmallows to retain their structural integrity.

The real question, I guess, is why there aren’t “birthday cake” Rice Krispy Treats yet (or did I miss them?). Hmmmm… maybe that’s what I should try constructing with the bag of pastel spring chocolate chips…

    1. ellonwy, the marshmallows haveto be melted to make the treats. all they did (well, all you’d do at home) is melt the marshmallow, ad cereal, mix. wait a bit for it to cool down then add the chips and freeze-dried marshmallow bits and mix.
