SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 9/5/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Snyder's of Hanover Maple Bacon Sweet and Salty Pretzel Pieces

Hmm…I wonder if Nabisco could pull off a Maple Bacon Oreo cookie. (Spotted by Robert at Publix.)

Nestle Spiced Rum Cake and Butter Toffee Coffee-mate

Happy…I’m not sure what holiday these flavors represent! (Spotted by Lisa at Target.)

V8 Chocolate Protein Shakes

Does this have eight vegetables? Wait…is chocolate a vegetable now since it come from a plant? (Spotted by Sascha at Meijer.)

Blue Bell Malt Shoppe Ice Cream

Looks so good, but I don’t get Blue Bell ice cream here. I guess dumping Whoppers into a Wendy’s Frosty will have to suffice. (Spotted by Paige at Target.)

  1. We really liked the Butter Toffee creamer. I imagine that’s the one my husband will be drinking all season. Last year it was the “hot” Vanilla one. He loved that!

  2. The V8 shakes package said “artificially flavored” why?! Is Chocolate natural? Why they bother to add fake flavors to the package.

  3. Marvo, I just picked up a half gallon of the Blue Bell Malt Shoppe ice cream. And guess what? It tastes JUST LIKE a chocolate frosty! So dump away knowing that you’re not really missing out on anything special.

  4. The Blue Bell Malt Shoppe ice cream is delicious. And it does taste like a chocolate frosty, but better because of the malted milk balls. It has plenty in there also. I only bought the pint but would go back and get the
    1/2 gallon. Yummy.
