  1. Another great show guys!

Regarding the topic at hand, I’m kind of surprised that Starbucks has never released a bottled version of the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, even for a limited time. Maybe the flavoring couldn’t hold up after sitting (mixed) for an extended period of time.

And as for the final question, “What product would you pay exorbitant prices for if it made a return”? Holiday Spice Pepsi, Coke Blak, Jolt Espresso, and Coffee Twix.

    1. Actually, I do give a dang and looked into transcription services for our deaf readers (someone asked for it before), but it’s extremely expensive to have the show transcribed. We could do the transcribing ourselves, but for an hour long show, that’s extremely time consuming. If you know of an inexpensive way to get our show transcribed, please feel free to let me know and I will look into it.

        1. First, it sucks that you have suffered hearing loss. I can’t imagine what that must be like and the challenges that you go through every day.

But access to a podcast is not covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act, since it doesn’t infringe on your ability to access the necessities of life.

        2. Transcription really is time consuming. I transcribed an interview where I was the interviewer and I had my extensive notes, and it still took me at least six hours to transcribe a one hour interview even though I type around 100 words per minute, and that doesn’t include time proofreading it against the tape (which means multiple stops and starts). The time is much longer under other circumstances, even a minute of a difficult tape with multiple speakers can take an hour according to colleagues who occasionally do transcription for translation work. If you have to hire somebody for at least a couple of days each week to transcribe each show, that’s expensive. Even dictation software is unlikely to help.

  2. It’s not an excuse, Sharyn. A transcription service for that podcast would be way too cost prohibitive.

As for pumpkin flavored items, you guys quickly mentioned ice cream toppings. The one I would jump on is pumpkin spice Magic Shell, and to take the subject in Christmas, Peppermint and Egg Nog Magic Shell.

  3. Does Nutri Grain have a pumpkin bar? That seems like the most obvious pumpkin product that I don’t think exists.

  4. I do love the pumpkin spice craze, why not in the mundane day to day life a little treat to look forward is nice especially if its a new flavor or limited edition. As for Sharyn you do realize Marvo is just regular guy running a word press blog right? This isn’t like a newspaper or something like that where he gets an amazing amount of ad revenue from running it but I am sure most people running blogs would like to accommodate everyone if they could. It would be nice if the ADA could provide a service to get things transcribed for you.

  5. In the “things I want brought back” category, my #1 choice is cup custard cookies. I’m not a big fan of sandwich cookies (including Oreos), but I loved those. Second item would be the Seven Up candy bar (I think that’s what it was called). No, not 7Up flavored, but a candy bar with 7 connected sections, each with a different filling. Almost like a small box of chocolates contained within a candy bar.

  6. Seems they should have brought Oreo O’s cereal back by now. I know one can purchase them on Amazon from Asia, but they are way too expensive. In addition, a cereal that was recently discontinued that I wish was resurrected is Kellogg’s Smorz. Kellogg’s brought out the Krave Smore cereal to replace it, but it’s no where near as good. Horrible decision in my opinion.
