SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/8/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

TruMoo Limited Edition Orange Scream Milk

I guess this is better than standing outside in the middle of the day and licking the parts of a Creamsicle that melt and slide down my hand. Brand Eating has a review. (Spotted by Alex at Walmart.)

Campbell's Disney Frozen Healthy Kids Condensed Soup

Campbell's Disney Princess Healthy Kids Condensed Soup

I’m so sick of seeing all the cross promotional Frozen products! That movie has been out for almost a year. No, Marvo. Let it go, let it go. Can’t help it, it’s what Disney movies undergo. Let it go, let it go. Turn my head and ignore. (Spotted by Lindsay at Meijer.)

Russell Stover Caramel Apple Chews

I’d like to stuff my mouth with a dozen Russell Stover Caramel Apple Chews and then attempt to say “Russell Stover Caramel Apple Chews.” (Spotted by Lindsay at Family Fare.)

Boomerang's Boom Bites

Are these called Boomerang’s because after eating them their flavor hits your mouth again hours later when you burp? Well, if that’s the case, every canned chili should be called Boomerang’s. (Spotted by Troy at Target.)

Progresso Chili (Southwest Style White Chicken Chili and Smokehouse Pork & Beef Chili)

These Progresso Chili bags would be very handy on camping trips as pillows. That’s all. I can’t think of anything else they’d be useful for. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

  1. Actually, handy to eliminate ecologically wasteful metal cans, when more easily disposable paper packs can be used (if they are better ecologically?)?

    1. The aluminum cans used for soup were readily recyclable — indeed, most food cans are made by recycling earlier food cans.

The coated paper or plastic or whatever-it-is in soup bags are not recyclable in most places.
