FAST FOOD NEWS: Sonic Garlic Parmesan, Honey BBQ, Island Fire, and Extreme Habanero Heat Boneless Wings

Sonic Extreme Habanero Heat Boneless Wings

About this time last year, Sonic introduced their Boneless Chicken Wings. The crispy 100 percent all white meat chicken wings are back again this year, for a limited time, but now there are more sauces to choose from.

Buffalo and Asian Sweet Chili are making a return, but barbecue has been replaced with Honey BBQ, which is made of brown sugar, honey, and chipotle pepper. Joining those three sauces are Garlic Parmesan, Island Fire, and Extreme Habanero Heat. If the sweet and spicy Island Fire sounds familiar, it was originally on Sonic’s Island Fire Spicy Chicken Sandwich from 2013.

All Sonic Boneless Wing flavors are available in packs of six, 12, or 24. Those who order a 12- or 24-pack have the option to mix or match two sauces.

Six pieces of the Garlic Parmesan Boneless Wings have 740 calories, 51 grams of fat, 9 grams of saturated fat, 1530 milligrams of sodium, and 30 grams of protein. A six-piece serving of the Honey BBQ has 510 calories, 21 grams of fat, 4 grams of saturated fat, 1500 milligrams of sodium, and 28 grams of protein. Six pieces of the Island Fire Boneless Wings have 540 calories, 21 grams of fat, 4 grams of saturated fat, 1090 milligrams of sodium, and 29 grams of protein. A six-piece serving of the Extreme Habanero Heat has 580 calories, 33 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 2600 milligrams of sodium, and 30 grams of protein.

  1. The extreme Habanero heat was easily the spiciest thing I have ever eaten from a fast food restaurant. It is much spicier than the ghost pepper daredevil griller from Taco Bell. The taste was actually pretty good, but the spice built to pain on my tongue for a good 15-20 minutes after I had finished it.

The Island fire was gross, IMO. Something about the mango/tropical fruit flavor with the spice was very off putting to me.

Both the honey BBQ and the garlic parmesan were fine and would probably taste as you would expect them too.

    1. Yeah I just had the Habanero too. It’s real spicy, not fast food spicy. I’d put them on par with BW3’s Wild wings in terms of spicy.

    2. I work at sonic and it was actually so strong when I cleaned those containers it’s made me cry

  2. I have been waiting so long for this! I don’t care about the wings, I’m getting the island fire and habanero sauce on a burger!

  3. The extreme habanero blow the hottest habanero wings ive had. I usually order Blazin’ from BWW and these were hotter. Did not expect to get that type of heat from an establishment like Sonic. The island fire sauce was a good break from the habanero sauce. But i cannot eat a full 12 piece of pure extreme habanero. the wings being fresh out of the fryer didn’t help..
