WEEK IN REVIEWS – 7/2/2016

Here are a few product reviews posted this week from other blogs we follow.

Welp, they’re pretty terrible.” (via Junk Banter)

If I had been blindfolded, you could have told me these cookies were peach or passionfruit flavor and I would have believed you.(via What’s Good at Trader Joe’s)

Of course, that leads to an interesting game of Russian roulette when I just happen to eat an entire box of Fiber One cookies in one sitting.” (via Snack Cellar)

The real star however was the ‘Meat Sauce’, but I truly wish the could have come up with a better name for it as it just sounds so bland…(via Travelling McD’s)

Glittery vanilla prisms as big as kosher salt, studding each square like quartz crystals in a cave wall. When eating a handful, the vanilla flavor doesn’t hit immediately, though.” (via Cerealously)

  1. Personally, I’d be pretty wary of anything called a “flavoured snack ball”.

  2. I wish we could know what is being reviewed without clicking on the link, It’s clever being mysterious and quoting the funny bits like that, but it’s kind of a pain too if you just want the info.

    1. I understand your point. But I’d like to think that every link is a surprise. Each line used is there to poke at readers’ curiosity. If we easily shared what the product is next to the link, it would ruin that surprise. The first link in this post is a great example. I imagine in many readers’ minds they thought, “I need to know what this product is so I can avoid it.” So they’ll click the link. But if the name of the product is right next to the link, I bet there’s less incentive with many readers to click the link because they know what it is. And if that happens, it would defeat the purpose of why the Week in Reviews posts exist. I want to promote my friends so I want readers to click the links.
