  1. I mean, I haven’t been to BK in years, but I loved the original chicken sandwich. It was its own unique thing, and I’m sad to see it’s been replaced with a sandwich that you can get at any other fast food joint. 🙁

    1. Nina, it is not replacing the original chicken sandwich. I think they’re keeping that as the “cheap” offering.

It is replacing the Tendercrisp, which was appalling for a “premium” chicken offering.

      1. You’re right. I can’t stand the new one. It ain’t as crispy as the old one. I think that this new one is more fattening.

  2. They released a new study. Apparently Wendy’s chicken has highest amount of actual chicken in it. Mcdonalds was like 60 percent LOL

    1. Leaves me wondering what BK’s “original chicken” sandwich contains, since I’ve always found it to be a chicken flavored sponge lol

I’m tempted to try this, but few weeks ago I had intestinal distress after eating BK nuggets.. while it was acceptable, it was not fun at 3am wishing I was dead.

    2. That study is highly suspect.

For one, it’s done by this lab:

      http://www.forensicdna.ca/

Does this seem like the kind of lab that deals with food at all? Sounds like a bored graduate student using the lab equipment.

Second, chicken DNA is meaningless when it comes to food. Since all the meat is restructured, how do they know the DNA wasn’t damaged, and undetectable, due to processing?

Third, large companies like Wendys, McDonalds and Subway would NOT fuck around with their chicken content for this specific reason. Aside from USDA oversight, there would always be a chance of research like this outing them. They wouldn’t take the chance.

I can’t believe how many people are taking this “study” as law. Use your heads.

  3. I just had the new crispy chicken sandwich. It was excellent – minus the lettuce, but with the added onion, and with added Walker Woods hot jerk pepper sauce which I buy a bottle from Publix and goes with me everywhere. My only complaint was the tomatoes – green on the center! I will have again… just like the excellent Egg + bacon croissant.

    1. I like good food… whether cheap, fast food or otherwise.
And international too. You can see me on Google and LinkedIn. Watch out for The Nauti Chef. Yes, besides being a Mega-Yacht (private 125′) Captain I love to cook too.

  4. I stopped going to Burger King because the burger upset my stomach but after seeing the commercial I had to go back and try the Crispy chicken. I was disappointed again the chicken was very small-was not as big as the bun and not crispy at all. Not worth the money. Looks nothing like the commercial.

  5. I have ate the new chicken sandwich a few times and all were good… But the last two times the chicken was so rubbery i questioned if it was cooked properly and it was two different cities about two weeks apart.. Sad it was good. No longer eating it until they address and fix this issue
