Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our review.

Dunkin’ Donuts has rolled out a new way to start your morning — the Pretzel Croissant Breakfast Sandwich.

Wait.

If that’s a pretzel croissant and those granules on the pretzel exterior are salt, that’s a lot of salt.

The breakfast sandwich comes with Black Forest ham, Wisconsin aged white cheddar cheese, and an egg on a freshly baked pretzel croissant. It has 550 calories, 300 calories from fat, 33 grams of fat, 15 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 200 milligrams of cholesterol, 1270 milligrams of sodium, 44 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 22 grams of protein.

If you’ve tried it, let us know what you think of it in the comments. Also, let us know if there’s that much salt on the pretzel croissant.

    1. So did my boyfriend, he goes there every day for breakfast and said it was the best sandwich he’s ever gotten from them!

  1. I just tried one today in SC. Yes mine did have that much salt on top. I ended up taking the top bun off because l got salt overload from the first bite. Thank goodness I had my vanilla chai to take the edge off too.

  2. I tried it last week. I took one bite and threw it away. The amount of salt is disgusting. I normally like pretzels but this went overboard. I will not get it again.

  3. Really loved it. Mine was missing a lot of the salt on top, but it was still plenty salty in occasional bursts.

However, I can’t handle trans-fat well at all (one gram is a lot for me). 2.5 hours later and I’m still feeling excessively tired and sleepy.

  4. Tried one for the first time this morning & felt like I had salt poisoning 1 hr later. I shld have just pitched after the first few bites but I forced it down b/c I was hungry. Dunkin yall trying to kill ppl w/ this mess.
